DIAL F-E-A-R or HOW I SPENT MY CHRISTMAS WITH THE CRAZIES (PART 1) Well there I was on Christmas night with my three , cleaning up the dishes. It was then I heard the screaming and cursing outside my solar-powered trailer. At that time, I still had a cell phone that worked, but only because of the 3 watt booster and the trucker antenna on the roof. I was 28 miles from the nearest town, but I called the police anyway, full knowing they may never even find my place. It took me about 20 minutes to explain where I lived and how to get there and in the meantime, the voices outside were getting louder...which meant they were getting closer. My nearest neighbor was two miles away so I knew I had to be prepared to defend myself. So I loaded up the shotgun and went outside and tiptoed across the gravel driveway as quietly as I could with my 15 year-old following close behind. shotgun is the wise choice...you dont have to be accurate, but have a handgun in a holdter too just as a back up
