Greetings from beautiful Whidbey Island! Looking forward to meeting some new & interesting people! // I'm a 53 year old blonde woman who lives in Oak Harbor, Washington and I work as a medication technician in the field of senior assisted care. My background is that I was raised in a Christian home and have had a relationship with God all my life; though there have been times when I've had it shaken to the very core of my being....and I've recovered from the tough things and gone on. I love my work in senior assisted care and view it as a real ministry in that I can help make the aging process and all the transistions that go with it a little easier.
Beyond the workplace, I'm a widow of almost 6 years and also Mom to a 28 year old and Grandma (can you believe it?? So young??!!) to an 8 year old grand.
About who I am: I think my friends would describe me as serious when necessary, sometimes quiet, not high-maintenance (!), flexible, calm, outgoing once I'm familiar with someone, and most of all, that I love to laugh! I've been known to laugh to the point of tears (and other things) and some of my happiest times are spending time with friends or road-tripping around the Pacific Northwest to see the sights.
As for the things I like to do. Well, it's pretty varied and I'm usually "game" to try out new activities and hobbies. I love to beachwalk, read, cook and try out new recipes, day hike, swim, fish (like I really love it!!!), shop antique and thrift stores, take road trips when I get the opportunity to, watch great sunsets (which we have alot of on Whidbey Island!) and spending time with my friends & family.
My Ideal Person
Someone who will attend church with me, accept me the way I am (just as I would them), and who is interested in sharing a devotional life on some level with me as part of our relationship. I love to learn new things about our God and would truly enjoy being with someone who wanted to share their experiences and faith walk with me.....I feel we can learn so much from other Christians that will enhance our own faith walk if everyone is just authentic or REAL.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
It's almost midnight and I need my sleep and this section is important.....I'm saving most of it for this weekend so I can articulate it all with a clear head! Watch for later info updates.

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Because it's the way God intended it to be, it honors Him and I know it's what works best. It's the most important thing in my life and I want to be with someone who shares that with me.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up on a large island in Puget Sound--Whidbey Island, Washington....Oak Harbor, Washington. It's about 75 miles from metro Seattle. Beautiful part of Washington. I've also lived in a suburb of Seattle, and spent 10 years in Hermiston, Oregon (eastern OR). I've travelled to different parts of the United States--Michigan, the mid-west, and California (particularly Central) more times than I can count! I love the CA and OR coast--Highway 101--it's my favorite place/trip.
