53 year old Woman in Monroe, Louisiana, United States Looking For: Men for a dating relationship, marriage, a friend, a bible study partner or a prayer partner

Profile for K4Jesus
For anyone who reads this... My account expires here on 1/6/2006 and I don't intend to renew. I'm going to stick with "ya who" for now. I've got other Christian sites where I fellowship but I want to get out into the real world! Write to me if you would like. It's Holy Ghost Goosebumps at the place I mentioned above. Those three words are actually all one when I'm there, if you understand what I'm saying. God Bless you all!

Hi there! First of all I'd like to say, if you saw me looking at your profile, but I didn't send a smile or MM, don't let that discourage you! I'm a little shy and really prefer that the guy makes the first move, so if you like what you see here, please email me or send me a smile and lets get to know one another!
************************************* **************************************** ***************
I have been widowed since June of 2005. It was a good marriage and after having given it a lot of thought and prayer, if the Lord has someone out there for me, I'm more than ready and willing. I miss being loved and cherished. I want a best friend again! Someone to do Bible study and pray with, and someone that I can go places and have fun with! God didn't make us to be alone, and if He is willing, I will not spend the rest of my life that way! I would first like to get to know one another as friends and see where it goes from there. The Lord will lead us as we go. I've learned is that marriage can be a treasure beyond value! I want to experience that sort of precious relationship again!

In our relationship, I will love you with my whole heart, trust you to always have my best interests at heart, do little things to let you know I love you, write you love letters, pick you flowers, rub your back, hug you tightly, hold your hand, gaze into your eyes, tell you how handsome you are to me, cook you favorite foods, worship and serve at your side, pray with you, pray for you, never leave you! Marriage is to be cherished and treated like the gift from God it is. Come dance with me and be my love....

Please email me and introduce yourself rather than IM me, then we can chat later. Most of the IMs I've gotten have been questionable characters, so I'm a little overly cautious with that being the initial contact. I'd love to hear about your personal relationship with the Lord first if you would, because being equally yoked is essential to a happy marriage! I'm not perfect physically or spiritually, but no one is. However, I am working to improve in both ways.I am romantic, fun, generous, honest, kind, silly at times, trusting and very loving. I'm a bit of a prankster, so you'd better have a good sense of humor! I hate quarrels, being angry gives me a headache, so if you tend to be quarrelsome I'm not your girl. Adults should be able to work things out without yelling and name calling. I am quiet and easy going by nature. I like to cook and am a good cook, but I hate to clean house by myself, want to help?

Circumstances over the last few years prevented me from getting any real exercise other than doing patient care. I have lots of muscles, they are just too well padded right now! I am exercising and watching what I eat in order to get back in shape and have lost a good bit already. I intend to achieve my goal and maintain it! It would be much more fun to exercise with you than alone. Long walks and dancing are excellent forms of exercise.

I like to go places and do things! I went to Israel in November 2005 and it was awesome! I'm taking a creative writing course online, and have other courses scheduled. I like visiting the zoo, walks in the country, flea markets, traveling. Wouldn't it be fun to take a long road trip and just stop and see whatever catches our fancy? I haven't had the opportunity in years, but I always loved to go horse back riding, dancing and fishing. I can even bait my own hook, put my fish on the stringer and clean them! I build ministry web sites, I like to read, love classic movies, like to garden, love to sing and I am active in an Assemblies of God church.

I love Science Fiction movies, if they are clean and not just futuristic horror or sex films. I love to read Christian Fiction also. I get quiet and introspective at times. I generally contemplate my words before I speak. "Keep your words sweet and tender, for tomorrow you may have to eat them!"

I love contemporary worship, southern gospel, old hymns and all sorts of stuff in between. I sometimes cry during worship. Sometimes I dance in place or jump up and down. If we can do it for a football team, why not for Jesus? I write very long letters, but I'm not a chatty non-stop talker. I actually tend to be rather quiet most of the time. I love to write when the Lord gives me inspiration, and my Bible study is digging into the Word, not just a devotion and a verse. I believe in doing Spiritual Warfare, and want someone to stand beside me as we battle together!

My family and I are very close. I prefer to not move away from my parents as they are getting on in years and the days are growing short. I will go where the Lord leads however.

I've done ministry in a lot of areas. Choir, children's choir, children's church, tape ministry, nursing home ministry, outreach, singing solos, preaching, teaching, prison ministry, drama, youth, abstinence education, cleaning the church toilets, etc, etc, etc. The fields are white unto harvest and the workers are few! Those of us that do work tend to overwork. I will never willingly be a bench-warmer on the sidelines, and will not marry anyone who wants to be. We would not be equally yoked.

Join me for a lifetime of love, moonlight dances and serving the Lord. I'm waiting for you!

My Ideal Person:
My desire is for a man who is strong, supportive, romantic, gentle and loving in words and deeds. A Godly who will be the spiritual leader of our home. The ability to be silly is essential! Physical perfection isn't required. Hair is optional! Being able and willing to wrap me tightly in your arms and hold me close for long periods of time is a requirement. Liking to dance would be a big bonus! I prefer a non-drinker. I do not believe having a drink is a sin. I don't have a problem with someone having an occasional beer or glass of wine, but will not tolerate drinking to excess. I am extremely allergic to cigarette smoke so, sorry - no smokers. (I used to smoke and when I quit I think this was the Lord's way of making sure I stayed quit!) Most important of all, you have to be totally devoted to our Lord. Nothing less will do!

Favorite television shows: Sue Thomas, Doc, StarGate, Old Twilight Zone, CSI, Star Trek, Joyce Meyer, Cornerstone

Favorite films: Brigadoon, Roger and Hammersteins Cinderella- 1969, Bringin Up Baby, African Queen, Sgt York

Favorite musicians or bands: Third Day, Selah, Pam Thum, Greater Vision, Mercy Me

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
When I was 38 God took a suicidal alcoholic messed up woman who was dying of Lupus and forgave her, changed her and healed her. He is truly my life.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Matthew 10:16 "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. 17 "But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. 18 "And you will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. 19 "But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; 20 "for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. 21 "Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. 22 "And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Jesus comes first always and in all things. I'd never compromise by having a relationship with anyone who doesn't feel the same way.

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
Born and raised in Monroe, LA. When I was 15 and going through tough times at home and school I ran away and hitchhiked to California. I lived through it! God must have had His hand on me even then! I finally decided the world wasn't what I thought it was after being gone two weeks, called my dad and was flown home. I lived in Dallas for five years from 1981 to 1986 and moved back to Monroe. Met my husband in 1996 and moved to NJ to marry him in 1997. We lived there until Oct 2002 when we moved back to Monroe where I am now. I'm going to Israel in November and plan on traveling as much as possible from now on.

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
Bible study at church, especially interactive studies that really push you to grow. I am always disappointed if I go to a conference or Bible study and it ends up being fluff. I like the Meat of the Word, the Bread of Life, not feel good tickle your ears junk. I like going to flea markets and garage sales, but only with a friend. I'm not obsessive about shopping. As a matter of fact I never go to a store when I can find it cheaper online!

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I don't have a routine. I wake up when I wake up unless my dogs wake me up first, but I'm rarely in bed at 8 am. I often wake up at 6 to 7 am. I also tend to stay up late. I don't like to sleep because I feel like I'm wasting time. Unless I have somewhere to go early or something I need to get done early, I sit and drink coffee while checking email and the news. I'd gotten into playing the stock market some, but after some bad choices gave it over to an expert except for some micro-penny stocks which frankly aren't worth selling. My days lately have included going to help my parents out since my mom broke her hip, going to work in a Katrina evacuee shelter, tearing my house apart and putting it back together again as I dispose of things and get ready to have a garage sale. Some days I wake up with a word from the Lord on my heart and after digging through scripture will write it up in an email and send it to family and friends. I always take out time to play with my dogs (2 Great Danes) during the day. They are very loving and the youngest one loves to romp. As I get the outreach ministry for the disabled organized at my church I'll be spending more and more of my time in rehabs and nursing homes visiting people who have no friends or family and often feel they have no hope. I want to introduce them to Hope! Also before long I intend to take a part time nursing job, probably in a doctor's office.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I never feel close enough to God. I never feel like I've reached a point where I'm living as good of a life as I could. I want to always strive to do my best for Him, and I'd like to get to where I know that I'm doing that consistently. I know I'll never be perfect in this world, but I want to be a female Enoch. I'd really like it for when I'm gone from this world what people remember of me is "she walked with God."
