I am a God loving, fun loving woman who has been a widow for almost four years. I was a teacher for many years and then changed career fields to work with the elderly at a retirement center where I was the Activities and Marketing Director. When my husband died, I stayed home for a year and then decided I wanted to go back to work. The private Christian school where I had previously taught called me and wanted me to come back and teach middle school. This is my second year back teaching Bible, English and Old World History.
I love to be around people who have a sense of humor, people who are truthful. I tell my students....the truth will always set you free and you can never get into trouble by being truthful.
My Ideal Person:
I would like someone who is a devout Christian and who not only attends church services but lives their day to day life for the Lord. I like someone who has a sense of humor and easy going.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith has always been very important to me. I attend a Baptist church and in the past I taught Sunday School to the oldest ladies in the church. I did this for eleven years and started out with 21 ladies and ended up with only 3. No one wanted to promote to my class because the only place to go after my class was "heaven" and believe me, I became very attached to all of them and finally gave up the class because it got depressing going to so many funerals.
I know teach Bible 5 days a week in a Christian middle school. [COLOR red][/COLOR]
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Isaiah 41:9-10.....I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, "Your are my servant, I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Jeremiah 29:11...For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.[COLOR red][/COLOR]
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Because if the Lord is not in the relationship it will not be successful.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Lake Charles, LA in 1974. I've traveled north, south, east and west in the U.S.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I attend most church functions.
