I'm told I have a very easy-going, fun-loving personality. I like to make sure people around me are happy and are taken care of. My philosophy on life is to live my life serving God in whatever I do. I attend church regularly and serve in music ministry. My B.A. degree is in Music Education from Azusa Pacific University. In my spare time, I like to travel, take road trips with dog, have coffee with friends, go to the beach, cook. I'm up for anything, usually! I'm currently acquiring my masters degree in Educational Counseling and work for Young Life. That's information overload! If you want to know more, just ask!
My Ideal Person
Would like to meet someone who loves Jesus and enjoys life. My first objective is to make new friends because I believe solid, lasting relationships begin with friendship.
Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith in Jesus Christ is everything to me! Everything that I am, and all of my talents and abilities, are because He gave them to me. I know that God has a plan for me, and I trust Him to guide my steps. I have a hope and a joy that can only come from Christ, and I want to share that hope and joy with others, especially those that God has specifically placed in my life.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in the country, on the outskirts of the small town of Yuba City, CA. I loved living in the country! We had room to run and explore, and always had a pet or two wandering around, anything from horses to chickens! As far as traveling goes, I have been fortunate enough to travel to England with my college choir, and took my dream vacation to Ireland last summer! So beautiful! I would love to go back someday! I have also been to Mexico with my church youth group numerous times, and have traveled many parts of the U.S., also with my college choir. Although I tend to be a home body, and miss my family when I am away for too long, I do love to explore new places, and see as much of God's beautiful creation as I can!
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
Hmmm...I love to sing! It seems that I have always been involved with music at my church...everything from singing with my family, beginning as a small girl, to running the sound board for the worship team when needed. I have also directed children's choirs and adult choirs, and put together small ensembles to sing in the community. I also LOVE working with the youth! I have volunteered in the youth group since I gradauted high school, and just love those kids! I want teenagers to have the same experiences I had in my youth group, with Christian friends to help hold them accountable, leaders who love them unconditionally, and without judgement, and solid biblical teaching to keep them grounded.
