My Ideal Person
I'm looking for people who actually are Christian, not who just say they are. You know, church going, praying....etc. I'm getting divorced, we were very unequally yolked (to make a long story short). It's a sad situation but my kids are strong and so am I. At the moment I am looking for a close friend who may grow into more when it's appropriate since I feel you are married until you're not. Not "you're married until you're not living together". If that were true I would have been not married for almost 2 years. It's a conviction! A strong, Christian, male figure is essential in the life of a family. A man who is capable of being the head of the household and who knows, in the Biblical sense, what that means. Who knows what submission truly is. (btw, if you think submission means it's my job to have your dinner on precisely at 5, get you a beer and rub your feet after I'VE worked all day too...keep on truckin)

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith has become increasingly more important to me in the past 5 years. I attend church weekly. I not only have myself to think about, but a responsibility to make sure my children are taught about Jesus too.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Hebrews 13:2 Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!
Proverbs 31:10-31,
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
It is essential! Christ at the center of any relationship is so benefitial. He is the rock. I don't want any relationship of mine to be built on sinking sand!
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up right here in Lansing. I attended Lansing Christian school k-12. I've traveled a little around the US. TN, AZ, FL, KY, WV...nice family vacations. My favorite places to visit are ones with maids and room service.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love getting together with people from church for things like bbqs. Really gives you a chance to talk and just be friends. My favorite at church is worship. Music is a significant part of my life and I love praising God using the talent He gave me.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I have 2 kids, so around 6:30 we start getting around. Leave at 7:15 drop the kids at the sitters. I head to work! Pick up kids around 5:30, go home, make dinner. Spend time with kids playing or bathing. Kids in bed by 8:30, then I either start housework or homework. It's a busy life but I love it! I get to bed around 11, after some prayer time.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
Personal goal is to finish degree soon, finish with 'jobs' start career. I also work hard to raise my kids right so they can become succesful adults.
Spiritual goal is to take more time with God and read more in the Bible.
