My Ideal Person
First and foremost, I am looking for someone who has a desire to live their life according to God's plan. I am also looking for honesty and compassion and someone who is dependable. I guess I know more of what I am not looking for then what I am looking for.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I became a christian the winter of 1995 and my focus in life had been trying to live my life the way God want's me to. I am a preacher's kid so I grew up knowing all the bible stories and all the "ritual" of church but it was never personal until I was in my twenties. How does it go . . . "if I only knew then what I know now" I could have saved myself a lot of grief and pain for I would have been able to trust in the Lord during my highschool years. I know I have a lot of growing in my relationship to do yet but with each day I am learning to depend on him more and more. I don't beleive you ever come to a point where you have learned everything there is to learn. Your relationship continues to grow every day until the day you see him face to face.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
I have two verses that really mean a lot to me. One is Philippians 2:1-11 "If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourself. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himslef and became obedient to death - even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ in Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Another verse is Psalm 56 and I will let you look that one up.

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Dinner and maybe a walk in a park, some place you can spend some time talking and really start getting to know one another.

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I was raised in a small town in Alberta where we moved to when I was six year old and my parent's are still there. No matter where my parent's go, that little town will always be home for me. I have been to the east coast once and traveled to Orlando, Florida once with a church youth event but I love to go camping and enjoy very much just being near the mountians.

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
Helping with the youth is one of my favorite activities. I help with as many youth activities as I can on the Friday. I use to sing quite a lot in my church at home and I enjoy being part of the choir when I can be in my new church. I enjoy just getting to know my new church family over pot-luck dinners and events.

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I am currently under seasonal employment but my passion is working with children. I just finished a four year nanny position and I was able to be a part of the lives of two children and watch them grow from infant to child starting school. My desire is to work with deaf children when I have completed my education.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
To complete my Bachelor of Education is my first goal and then to travel to Germany.
