I am a divorced woman who enjoys living in West Michigan. I particularly enjoy Lake Michigan, and our natural beauty. My interests are widely varied from movies and books, Christian music, live theater, art galleries, and camping and (beginner) golf. I play keyboards on my church's worship team, and I'm on my cat's "staff," although there are days when I think I need to resign!!
My Ideal Person:
When it comes to guys, I want to take it slowly, give the friendship time to develop and get to know one another. I am looking for friendship, but more (meaning love and marriage) if that's where we both would like it to go. My children are grown and married.
Because I am good at helping men be at ease with themselves, I have often felt that they did not really see me. So, I'd like for you to see me, that is, to know who I am and what I value, to be a friend to me as I am to you. I think that friends bring joy to each other by seeing and calling out each other's gifts. Joy means there is laughter, fun, respect, appreciation. Our gifts are unreceived until we share them with others. Time spent with friends is the most precious gift given.
Physical attraction, chemistry - are important and God-given elements to romance. But until you say "I do," I don't, just so you know. )

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
God my father has and does preserve my life. I cannot imagine a life without Him to share it with. Jesus, my savior and friend, is the one who remains closer than a brother. And the Holy Spirit makes all of me come alive to who God is.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Ps 27 is my favorite psalm because it covers all the bases: whatever life can throw at you, there's an answer there. Ephesions is my favorite epistle: beloved in the Beloved, mysteries expounded, filled with all the fulness.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
To share a journey, two need to be traveling the same direction on the same road. I take seriously Paul's admonition to not be unequally yoked.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in Byron Center, MI, and have lived in the Grand Rapids area all my life. I've been to Haiti on a week-long mission trip and to the Netherlands with my mom about 15 yrs ago. Would LOVE to see Paris and go on a Mediteranean cruise.
I enjoy boats and ferries. Mackinaw Island is a favorite place, if I get to take my own bike. I love Chicago, too: museums, jazz, restaurants, brass quartets on street corners at Christmas.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I'm on the worship team (keyboards) and thoroughly enjoy that. I enjoy being part of the congregation and worshipping there, as well. I'm on the prayer team, too, and God sees fit to do amazing things there, too.
I enjoy playing my piano at home and writing meditations.
