I'm just checking this site out on recommendation from friends. Not sure what God has next for my life, but I would like to meet a man who truly loves God.
Next to God and family, dancing is my passion. I like to visit beautiful places where I can relax and breathe. I always enjoy learning new things. I love variety but prefer a slow pace. Other activities I enjoy are music, theatre, reading, photography, volunteer work, and needlecrafts...Although there's really not time for all of it on a regular basis. Most of my time is spent with my son.
My own career is not my goal in life. I have a college education and I have worked in , and am interested in, many fields. However, I would prefer to be a stay-at-home mom and possibly homeschool.
I am definitely a night person, more likely to see the sunrise because (oops) I never made it to bed.
My friends say that I have integrity.
My Ideal Person:
Friendship is very important to me in building a relationship. I know it can happen really fast but I'm not in a hurry. Time always reveals the true person.
I tend to be attracted to an old-fashioned gentleman with a great sense of humor, common sense, patience, honesty and integrity. He needs to be a good listener on occasion when I talk too much. He should be a decision maker who is also considerate of my likes and needs.
A heart for children is a must.
A healthy lifestyle and personal hygiene are important to me. I believe people should do their best with what they've got. While I'm not extremely active, I can't stand couch potatoes or those compelled to turn the TV on every time they sit down. I have my favorite shows, but there are more things to life than television.
Favorite television shows:
Men in Trees, Greys Anat., House, Dancing w/Stars, So YouThinkYou
Can Dance, American Idol
Favorite films:
I like so many!

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
God's Word is my rulebook. He is Life.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Proverbs 13:20 He who walks with the wise grows wise, but the companion of fools suffers harm.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
To Honor God. I want God to be the center of my relationships. I want marriage to be the way God intended it to be. The right man for me will sincerely love God.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in Southern California. I've traveled throughout the U.S. by car for work but had little time to sightsee. I took my son on one Amtrack trip which we thoroughly enjoyed!Vacationed in Hawaii. Lived short term in Wisconsin & Connecticut. I have never been overseas.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
At church: fellowship, music/worship & continually learning the life applications of the Bible.
Outside: Have been involved my whole life in United Christian Ashrams founded by E. Stanley Jones. I praise God for the healing & life changes I see there.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Get up early and take son to school. Do housekeeping, errands, volunteering, appts., sometimes lunch with Mom. Pick son up and spend the rest of the day with him (homework, dinner, bed, etc.) Then email, TV, or reading. A little exercise/stretching and bed between 10pm-2am. Am committed this month to getting to bed earlier.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
Personal: I'm in the middle of a major "de-clutter, replace carpet, and get new furniture" project. Anyone heard of Flylady.net? Also, Reduce debt & get to bed earlier.
Spiritual: Keeping God first in my life (I have finally figured out this needs to be ON my daily To-Do list, lest the time for it be crowded out. Stay in touch with "personal and spiritual goal List" partners for accountability.
Read the Bible more. Pray more with my son.
