I smile easily and often, and others say I am a cheerful and fun, trusting and loyal friend who always sees only the best in them. I am openly affectionate, deeply compassionate and faithful to God, my family and my country. I am truly blessed with a loving family of three grown children and two granddaughters who I truly treasure. For the most part, I like who I am, willing to be all that God wants me to be.
I grew up, graduated from high school and married in Boone, Iowa. Soon thereafter, we moved to Red Oak, and Southwest Iowa has been my home ever since. Divorced a second time 15 years ago, my children's remarried father and I have continued to maintain a warm and friendly relationship.
I am active and flexible and truly can't honestly think of one thing I would not enjoy as long as I was doing it with someone who was positive about himself and others and life, in general.
I love people, young and old, and just about every other critter on earth (except'n those things that wiggle or squirm when they crawl!) I've fished in Canada and Minnesota, downhill skied in Utah, Montana and Colorado, rode horseback and motorcycles with my kids; I like to learn about people, events and places whether from reading, attending seminars or lectures or watching television. I enjoy dancing, fishing, skiing, attending the movies, music concerts (except hard/metal/punk) and ballgames, visiting museums, etc. and just meeting and making new friends. I particularly enjoy activities that include "young peoples" and my least favorite "sport" is shopping. I truly treasure quiet, alone and together time with my family and friends.
My Ideal Person:
It would complete me as a person to meet and share with a kind and loving, affectionate and loyal "gentle" man who loves our Lord, Jesus Christ, and I trust that God will take it from there.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I worship no other god than our Lord, Jesus Christ; I judge no other and accept others as God's beloved children, too. God has truly graced me with his patience and understanding, to be sure, and He's still working on me.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil, It will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones. Prov. 3:5-8
while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Cor. 4:18
Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. 1 Cor. 2:9
To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: Eccl. 3:1
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Only to another believer could I submit myself and my beliefs in sharing a sincere, openly trustful and intimate relationship.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
Hard question to answer....I'm still working at "growing up." I enjoy the water, although ON it, not IN it, anything to do with kids or animals and one of my favorite places (and peoples) is Big Sky, Montana. I skied there one Winter, and would really like to visit sometime during the Fall.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I am a greeter, participate in "Leading Ladies" activities and really enjoy the kids.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I am a paralegal/legal assistant by profession, and a caring, trustworthy confidant to my family, colleagues and friends.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
To continue to study God's Word so that I, through the grace of His Holy Spirit, can learn how to best serve Him in fulfilling his plans for me.
