53 year old Woman in Blue Ridge, Virginia, United States Looking For: Men

Profile for Equestriangal
My friends say that I am fairly easy going but I will not cross my personal boundaries. I am fairly shy until I get to know you & then I am like an open book. My friends also know that I am an independent thinker & that while I listen to & study everything in a situation, I am going to make up my own mind about it. Since I am very physically active (even though I have a large build I am very muscular) with my job in my spare time I usually read a book if I am not catching up on house work or helping my parents. I am an animal lover especially horses & dogs and seem to have a good way with all animals. I am a deeply spiritual person & my first instinct is to ask God to guide me through life downs & to thank Him when everything is right. I usually listen to country music as background noise when working at the barn but I also like classic rock & gospel --- most any type of music other that hard rock or . In the house I usually have the TV on for background noise & if I watch anything it usually tends to be news or a sitcom (laughter is a great destressor) My Grandmother instilled in me that family is what is most important when I was very young & that has stuck with me throughout my life. So while money is nice & a necessity to live nowadays I think that family & friends are more important.

My Ideal Person
I am looking for that proverbial "Mr. Right". I want him to be my best friend, partner, & lover for life. He needs to be secure enough with himself that he will listen to & respect my opinions & wishes even if he doesn't agree with them. He needs to be open enough to discuss his opinions & wishes with me. He also must be understanding enough that he can deal with me helping to care for my parents in their failing health. I try to be an independent thinker & he must be able to deal with that . Physically I want him to be at least 6' tall since I am just under that height. One other thing is that I am not currently renewing my BC subscription so if you are interested you may contact me by email or IM at BigChurch

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
Even though I was raised in the Lutheran church, I feel that your personal relationship with God is most important. I am the first one to admit that I am not attending services regularly due to scheduling issues but I do pray reqularly & try to catch a service on TV when I miss church. My standard prayer is to ask for guidance in every thought, word & deed. When things go wrong my first instinct is to pray & when things are going right I Thank Jesus. I am not a person that rams my faith down someone's throat but I am very open with my faith & trust in the Lord. I also will witness to people the Miracles that God has preformed in my life & my families life if they want to hear it.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
I don't remember the exact phrase but the one that He will never give you more that you can handle. I have been taken care of an injured, sick, or disabled parent as well as my sister who was 11yrs younger and a large number of horses since I was 12 years old & when I feel I can't handle the stress that phrase always pops in my mind. Also the 23rd Pslam & the Lord's Prayer sticks in my mind for some reason.

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
I feel that for any relatonship to last that it has to be Blessed by God. I also have found over the years that I am open enough with my Faith that non- Christians usually are not comfortable around me.

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
My daily schedule varries greatly but my daily duties include taking care of the horses, dogs, teaching lessons & working horses when I can. I am the chief cook in my family so if we are going to eat a balanced meal I usually have to prepare it sometime during the day. Also since both of my parents are disabled I help them with their needs as well during the day. Some days I also work a part time customer service job off the farm also. I also try to fit in a little housework if I can. By the end of the day I fall into bed for a few hours sleep & start all over again the next day. Every so often I have curve balls thrown in the schedule w/ an injured or sick horse or fencing problems & then the schedule for the day is thrown out the window & I prioritize & try to get as much as I can done. My little bit of relaxation time I usually read or go out to dinner w/ family or friends. While I may complain from time to time that my family is driving me crazy, I am a nurturer by nature & I enjoy taking care of the my family both human & animal.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
Spiritually I would like to know the Lord better and to better serve Him. Personally I am a very family oriented person I feel that I am ready to have my own family & would like to find "Mr. Right" to do that. I was raised that it is better to be happily single than unhappily married & if it is not meant to be for me to get married than I am OK with that also. I will listen closely for God's guidance. Also I would like to date more if for no other reason than to break the work/ sleep cycle that I am in.
