My Ideal Person
I'm looking for someone who wants to love and be loved, to be a real partner with another person. My perfect man will be someone who completes me - 20 years from now, we'll still "light up" when looking at each other. Sound too romantic? I know life's not all about the flowery, mushy stuff - it's about working hard to weather the storms and having those rough times bring you closer together. I still believe in THAT kind of love and romance!

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is very important to me. I definitely still have a lot of growing to do - I guess it's really a lifelong process - but I can't imagine trying to live my life without a real awareness of and relationship with the Lord.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
I've loved the 23rd Psalm since learning it as a little girl. There such peace in it. I also am greatly encouraged by the verse in Jeremiah (can't quote it for you right now) that tells about God having a definite plan for my life. I don't want to miss what He has in store!

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Because I want to do it "right" this time - in every way. Making sure that a relationship is grounded in faith and solid Christian principles is the first and most important step you can take to make it work.

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in rural North Carolina and am extremely proud of that fact! I'm still convinced that a "country" upbringing is the best that life has to offer. I'm within the city limits now (still small town) but I'm still a country girl at heart. I've done a bit of traveling (to probably about 15 of our states plus Canada and the Bahamas). My favorite spot away from home is Charleston, SC.

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love music - it's my favorite way to worship, relax, and be energized all at the same time. I also like working with youth. Outside of church, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, and watching my son grow up.

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I leap out of bed at the crack of dawn every morning just grateful to be alive and wildly enthusiastic about what this new day will hold for me - NOT! I reluctantly heave myself out of bed after arguing with the alarm clock for 30 minutes. After a mad dash to get myself and my son out the door, I settle in at a job that I really do enjoy because it allows me to work hard but have fun at the same time. Evenings are filled with taking care of my son and all those normal adult and "mom" things like making dinner, helping with homework, piano lessons, feeding the cats and doing laundry. It's not always exciting maybe, but a pretty peaceful existence. However, I am quite willing to shake things up a bit if the right reason comes along. . .

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
My goals are basically to continue to grow in my faith and walk with the Lord, to give my son the gifts of unconditional love and a good solid upbringing, and to be the kind of friend who truly makes a difference in someone's life.
