51 year old Woman in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States Looking For: Men

Profile for justwaitingforu
Hi! I teach first graders, and I love and my job. Personally, I love to travel and would love to find someone to travel with me. I enjoy the movies and the outdoors, and I also have a good time going to LSU games, all kinds. I usually hang out with friends on the weekends. We know how to have a good time without having to go clubbing and the like. I am involved at my church, and it is very important to me.

My Ideal Person
I am looking for a strong Christian man who wants to share his life with me completely. He needs to be like my friends...they know everything about me and love me anyway. He needs to be the spiritual leader in our home, and I want to have a family and raise them according to the Word. I want a man who will take an active part in raising any children, not just in the area of discipline.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I have no idea what nonChristians do when life gets you down. It is my faith in God that sees me through the ups and downs of daily living. There is nothing and no one that could make me sway in my decision to follow Christ.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
I'm checking the references. I don't want to misquote the Scriptures.

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
I don't want to enter into a relationship and develop feelings for a man who won't be spending eternity in the same place as me. What we do in this life isn't anything compared to the life hereafter. I don't want to raise children with a man who doesn't have the same beliefs that I do. They need two parents committed to living a moral, ethical, Christian life daily. We teach them how to live by example.

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I'm from Baton Rouge, LA and grew up here. I have been to a little over half of the 50 states. I LOVE NYC--been there 6 times, 4 of them for a week-long stay. The west coast is beautiful, the mountains breathtaking, and another city I love is Chicago. I enjoy going to the beach, and I want desperately to see New England in the Fall.

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
Church:SS and worship, choir, teaching Children's Bible Drill. Outside:going to the movies, dining out, "hanging out", playing with my cousin's kids, working out at the Y, finding something to do outside when the weather is pleasant and not unbearably hot and humid.

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Work days are pretty boring. Obviously, I go to work all day. I often stay late to finish work. One night a week is Weight Watchers and girls' night out with my cousin. Two nights in the workweek I work out/excercise either at home or at the YMCA. The rest of the nights and free time is spent doing laundry, cleaning, watching tv (have several faves). Weekends are different: Saturdays are flexible; they change from week to week--it might be a morning of working out and some scrapbooking followed by errand running and bill paying. Maybe a movie or dinner out Sat. night, depending on what I did on Friday night. Sundays are pretty much taken up with church. SS and morning worship, then lunch with my parents or friends, a few hours to myself to do lesson plans or work around the house, then teaching Bible Drill and evening worship. Supper and a little tv or chat time with my roommate. Still struggling to fit in Bible reading and quiet time EVERY day and still not drop off bill paying or getting behind on keeping up the house, just as fitting in exercise has been an adjustment, but worth it.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I want to get more consistent with my personal time with the Lord. It has to become more of a priority. And I am working to lose weight, and I'm going all the way this time. WW has proven to be a good program for me, and it's working!
