Hi, I'm a widowed WF who enjoys serving others and the Lord. I also enjoy traveling, reading, music, and photography.
My Ideal Person:
I'm looking for a strong male (though not domineering) who is "a man after God's own heart." I prefer well-spoken, educated (but not "ivory-tower" arrogant), and a man of many interests, skills, and pursuits. I would hope to find someone with whom to share the important goals and dreams, because details sometimes are minor in the long haul. I'm looking for that kind, loving, romantic sort of man who may show his emotions, yet doesn't let emotions rule him. I appreciate a thinker, who plans, but is versatile enough to "wing it," if plans go awry. Beauty is not a requirement, since character and morals are within (and I've met many callous "jerks" lurking under a handsome facade), but it would be nice if the gentleman "cleans up well" (as we say here in the South). I've lived through a lot of disappointments and tragedies in recent years, so I would appreciate someone who will be patient while I continue to heal emotionally, grow spiritually, and re-discover my dreams and visions. If a relationship not develop further than close friendship, that is acceptable. But if I should discover another "soul-mate" along the way, then so much the better. My expectations are high, but I'm regaining my "eternal optimism" that God has a plan for my life much bigger and more lofty than my own.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith determines my walk in life. Through much pain and sorrow, my faith and God's perseverance have kept me afloat.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
I run to the Psalms in times of great trial and stress. So many of them address different issues and stages of need/desire.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Without Christ, no relationship is worth pursuing. "All is vanity."
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in Brookhaven, MS., but have traveled around the U.S., Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean. My favorite places are Scotland, Devonshire, Colorado, and the Smokies.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
Music is an integral part of my Christian worship and actitivites. I enjoy singing and playing my instruments in church and with groups.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Right now, my day is pretty routine. My current work assignment has me on "early-bird" duty at 7:00 a.m. in another city, with a full day teaching high-school English, often leaving work at 5:00 p.m., or later.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I'm in limbo right now, but am slowly getting back into music, writing, and living after a year of bereavement. Perhaps, I will get back into teaching a class at church, but I'm not rushing myself.
