My Christian faith defines who I am. I feel so blessed by the relationship I have with Christ. I have certainly experienced highs and lows spiritually, but God has remained faithful throughout them all. I attend church regularly, and I am very involved in leading worship by playing the piano/organ/keyboard. I have also recently taken on a part-time job at church as the Worship Coordinator...a fancy name for someone who coordinates the schedules, works behind the scenes, etc., etc.  I am currently in my 18th year of teaching 3rd grade. I love working with that age level! I feel that this is work that God has called and gifted me to do. Every day is a new and unique experience. In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends, playing the piano, reading, making arts and crafts, shopping, playing board and card games, bowling, miniature golfing, playing softball or volleyball, going for a walk, attending concerts and plays, watching former students play in their high school sporting events, going to/watching movies or watching tv. Up until now, God's plan for me has not included a spouse or children of my own. I'm not sure what God has planned for me in the future, but I want to live in such a way that He is honored and glorified. I'm looking forward to hearing from you! Have a wonderful, blessed day!!
My Ideal Person:
Some day I would like to be in a relationship with a man who loves God and desires to honor Him in all he does. We would share in decisions, and we would work hard together to make our relationship work. We would each need to be encouraging, caring, and compassionate. The number one priority would be to help each other grow spiritually. I would like to think that we would complement each other and encourage one another in individual interests and passions. To want to try new things together because the other person enjoys them. Shared interests and passions are also very important. A mutual respect is needed as well. I like what Ephesians has to say about relationships. God has spelled it out so well for us...if we would just take it to heart and put it into practice. It would be nice to have a relationship with someone who makes me smile and who is willing to share his feelings and affection. I would love to meet someone who finds joy in the simple things of life...a walk in the woods or along the beach, watching a beautiful sunset, the smile of a child, or the warm fellowship of family and friends. Someday...if God wills it...I would love to marry my best friend.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is everything to me. I have had my ups and downs spiritually, but God has remained a constant source of strength and support. I can't imagine a life lived without the hope of His salvation and eternal life.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
There are so many, but some of the ones that come to mind most often are:
Phil. 4:4-13, Jer. 29:11-13, Rom. 8:37-39, Eph. 2:8-10, Ps. 37:4, Prov. 3:5,6
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
First of all, a relationship with a fellow Christian is essential to me because God has commanded that. Also, when a relationship is founded on a shared faith in God, there is nothing stronger to hold that relationship together. All decisions and interactions can be based on the standards that are taught in God's Word.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in California and Minnesota. I have traveled through many of the states and a few of the provinces of Canada. I particularly enjoy visiting the ocean and the mountains. However, there is so much beauty to see that it's difficult to pinpoint just one favorite!
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
At church I enjoy my participation in the leading of and preparing for worship. Music is an important part of my life. When I have some free time, I enjoy reading, making crafts, hanging out with friends, playing board and card games, going for walks, watching tv/movies, etc. to relax.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Each day is very different...I am not exactly a morning person...more of a night owl. After teaching all day, I am often busy with meetings, errands, and appointments. When I spend the evening at home, I do a variety of things: grade papers, watch some tv, spend some time on the computer, do a few chores around the house, talk on the phone to friends/family, read, make some crafts, etc.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
My goal is to continue to grow in my relationships with God and my friends and family. I want to be open to the plan that God has for me.
