I grew up going to church, but did not have a personal relationship with the Lord until college. I was a very moral person, a good girl who always obeyed my parents and did well in school. While a freshman in college I heard for the first time that I could have a personal relationship with Jesus and eagerly accepted Christ into my life. In college I was very involved in a campus ministry. It was a great time in my life as I learned so much and really grew in my relationship with the Lord. After college I was fortunate to study for a year in a Bible certificate program at a Bible college. It was a great time for growth and evaluating my faith and making it my own. After that year I began teaching. I have been a special education teacher for 33 years. I believe that God has called me to be a light for Him in the public schools. It is my hearts desire to make a difference in my community and the world. Teaching has allowed me to touch many 's lives over the years. are our future and it is a great privilege to have an influence on their lives. Mother Teresa once said,"I am a pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a letter to the world." It is my desire to be a pencil used by God to show His love to others. Family and friends are very important to me. I also love animals and my dogs have been an important part of my life. Each day is a gift from God and I am thankful for the many blessings He has given me.
