What's doing? I'm a 46 year old, (almost) single-again woman, living in (North) Charleston, SC. I've got 3 grown kids, who, blessedly, are out on their own, finally. I also have 3 beautiful grandkids, and another on the way.
I haven't had the opportunity to travel much (busy with kids most of my adult life), and have never been ANYWHERE (almost), other than a couple of short cruises. I've driven all over the Southern states several times, and of course, NJ, PA, and NY. I would love to travel, take a few cruises. I want to visit Italy, with the rich religious history there. Also, I have a dream to visit the Holy Lands, and walk where Jesus walked. I'm planning a trip to India with my oldest and it's all we talk about anymore.
I'm creative, I enjoy writing, photography (not really good at it yet, but I'm working on it), some drawing and painting, and other artsy-crafty stuff.
I love this town I live in, it's so beautiful, with its gorgeous architecture and its terrific history. One of my favorite things to do is walk downtown along the rivers in the evenings.
I have a wonderful circle of friends, with whom I do not spend enough time, unfortunately. I run my own business, which I love and believe is my true calling.
My Ideal Person:
Who's my match? Am I actually looking for a match? If I am, he is exceptionally bright and has a great sense of humor. How much money he makes is not important to me, as long as he is financially responsible and meets all his own obligations. "Power" is just a word to me, so whether he is a Wall Street mogul or a fisherman, if he's intelligent, funny, responsible, resourceful, and spiritual, I will most likely enjoy his company. He must be mature and assertive, and confident. Wishy-washy men make me feel sorry for them. Strong and decisive men make me sit up and take notice.
What I want: I have discovered that I am not looking for marriage (at the moment). What a thing to realize at my age, huh? That doesn't mean it can't ever happen. But I am not here at Match Dot Com trying to snag a husband. I am trying to make some friends, because it recently dawned on me that a) all my friends are either female, or married males, or males that are single and so far away, they may as well be married, and b) I stopped dating around the time of Noah's flood (maybe it was 2003 or '04) and have forgotten how pleasant it is to be in the company of a charming man. I have been far too wrapped up in my own life. It's time to go outside.
So, that's my tale. Drop me a note sometime, I'll buy you a coffee, and we'll visit.
