I am an attractive 39-year-old, divorced female who is tired of the dating game, and it has only been a year. Maybe I have my expectations set too high but heard a pastor say this past weekend, "Why would you settle for a bone when God has a steak waiting?" I am trying to be patient for my steak! I have been fooled by some "bones" that really weren't the Christians they said they were. Just looking, hoping, building my relationship with God and waiting on His perfect timing.
My Ideal Person:
My ideal person would pursue me passionately and never let me forget I am important to him. He would love God first and foremost and then I would be under that. He would be tall, handsome, kind, patient, great sense of humor and not afraid to assume the leadership role in our relationship. Have you read "Wild at Heart?" I am looking for my "William Wallace" from Braveheart. I am not perfect. I am a work in progress, and I would expect the same from any man but moving forward in a positive direction!
Favorite television shows:
Grey's Anatomy, House, all of the CSI shows, all of
the Law & Order shows, Fox News
Favorite films:
The Notebook, all of the Saw movies, The Express, too many
to name. I love movies!

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is very important to me. I have learned that without it you have no hope or direction in your life. I rely on God's wisdom to get me through the day and help me make decisions.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
The one right now that is sticking with me would be in Isaiah 43:11 (maybe?) "The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail." Ah! That says it all right now for me.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Because it is who I am. I do not want to get involved or become serious with anyone who is not a Christian in a romantic-type relationship. I have lots of "friends" and some are not Christians, but to spend my life with someone, it would definitely be a requirement.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in Houston, TX, and a lot of my family still lives there. I don't necessarily have a favorite place to visit. If I get to leave East Texas, I am excited!
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
My favorite church activity would be Bible study with other men/women and getting together to fellowship and play games. Outside of church I enjoy going to concerts, antique shopping, going to sporting events, dining out, going for a walk, lots of different interests.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Get up at 5 a.m. to meet a friend at the gym to workout by 5:30 a.m., work out until 6:15 or 6:30, get showered/dressed, head to the library to check email and finish up last minute homework, 9:30 a.m. head to class, 1 p.m. finish up classes and head home to eat, nap and get ready to go into work at 4:00 or whenever. Get off work at 10:30 or 11:00 and head back home to relax before going to bed, get myself organized for another day. Try and talk to my kids before their bedtime. Somewhere in here I read for pleasure and for school and my Bible. Usually before I go to bed.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
A couple of personal goals would be to run a marathon or mini-marathon in the next 6 months and to learn Spanish. A spiritual goal would just to be more Christ-like through spending time in God's Word. I struggle with this at times.
