I am a DWF, age 45 - but decidedly younger-thinking. No kids (just a dog). A little overweight but addressing the problem sensibly. Great (sometimes manic) sense of humor that can also be immature at times (I still laugh at bodily functions, much to my secret shame). No tattoos/exotic piercings. I can be earthy when the situation calls for it in spite of being a substitute Sunday school teacher for young children. Not a very talented romantic, but loyal and loving to my significant other (when there has been one). Conservative in politics, but not excessively so. I am a computer systems analyst/technical writer. Hobbies include training and showing dogs in performance events, playing the mountain dulcimer, singing, reading, and various arts & crafts.

My story in a nutshell: After a number of upheavals, I have rebuilt a happier, more balanced life with Jesus as the center. I was saved at the age of 14, but drifted away as a young adult. God got my attention by several methods (apparently I was hard of listening), and when I came back to Him, He blessed me in some pretty miraculous (at least to me) ways! I am devoted to my very small church (60 members) and my parents - I am an only child. My parents are also involved in our church - my dad teaches the adult Sunday School class as well as Wednesday night Bible Study. I love to sing in our tiny choir. My church follows a very traditional shape-note singing method, commonly referred to as "Christian Harmony", which I have sung and played all my life, and I love it.
My Ideal Person:
YOU: Must be a SWM - single does NOT mean "separated"; only "never been married" or "divorced" qualifies (I have no wish to be a homewrecker), at least 45 years old. Body type isn't important as long as you are not a jock. A good, quirky sense of humor isn't negotiable - you must have one. Extra points for being able to invent bad puns on the fly. Kids? No problem. Non-smokers only! Must have read a good book within the last couple of months and must also be a PRACTICING Christian, preferably Baptist or Methodist. If you work in IT, engineering, or any other technical field along with everything else, you are the perfect candidate for my undying devotion.
I am praying to meet someone who would have no problem with attending church often with me, and understand that I have an obligation to be at church whenever the doors are open simply because I am a member.
