I am a positive person, who tries to find the good in people and circumstances, compassionate, loving, loyal, a good friend, and compromising almost to a fault, but will fight for what I believe in.
I enjoy being outdoors - scenic hikes, scenic drives, banana daiquiries on the beach. I'm a long-loyal Yankee fan, but I don't have a problem with Red Sox fans from November through March (LO . At night, I enjoy occasional fine dining by candlelight, a night in the city, going to a show, or concert, etc., but I'm just as happy curling up on a comfy couch with a good movie. I am comfortable in anything from T-shirts at a barbecue to a classier ensemble at The 21 Club, and anything in-between, because my idea of fun is all about the people. In the right company, anything can be made fun, and if it isn't fun, it can at least be made a funny memory! I have spent much of the last decade focused on my children (and enjoying them immensely!). I have dated, but didn't feel I had the time or energy that a healthy and Godly relationship would have deserved from me. Now that my boys are older, and basically self-sufficient, I am looking to see what God has planned for the next chapter of my life, and who might be out there that would receive all that I have to offer...
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for companionship with a Christian man who loves life and knows how to have fun in both the big, planned events, as well as simple daily living… someone who smiles a lot, laughs a lot, but would also have a heart of truth that is not afraid to admit to sadness or disappointments... someone with a healthy balance of mature responsibility and fun-loving freedom... someone who would distract my thoughts throughout the day, someone who awakens my heart, someone who would cause me to smile for no apparent reason, someone who would enhance my journey, and someone who would be able to allow me to do all the same for him.... Someone who understands that love is not just an emotion, but it's also a verb... it's the little actions you take to make someone feel that they are special to you... a surprise kiss when they are doing dishes, a favorite dinner ready at the end of a rough day, an uncontrollable smile and light in your eyes when they walk in the room...
Every dream has to start somewhere... I'm looking for someone with enough shared interests to enjoy each other's company, have some fun, laughs, chemistry, compatibility in quiet, more serious conversations, (and yes... physical attraction, while not on the top of the list, does play it's part!), and see where the natural progression and God's guidance takes us...
