I would be delighted if you are the one man predestined to capture my heart and spirit. I like to think of myself as a shooting star. That means that I always do my personal best and make it a point to help others along life's way. Even strangers have told me that my eyes twinkle with God's love.
I have naturally curly dark brown hair, green eyes, and olive skin that lightens in winter. I am temporarily overweight due to arthroscopic knee surgeries which limited my ability to exercise. I am about five-foot-seven, usually weigh about 135 pounds, and used to be very athletic. It would mean a lot to me for us to exercise together and kindly encourage each other to become healthier and stronger.
Most of my friends tell me I am a gentle, compassionate, lovely, loyal, creative, intelligent, and hardworking Christian lady. I believe in treating all human beings with respect and love.
I have two children, Niah and Nick. My son is getting married in the next few days. Niah will soon start college. She plans to become a pediatrician.
It delights me to help others, especially children. This coming school year I will be teaching Kindergarten for the first time. I have taught grades three through eight. I consider my job to be my mission field. It would please me immensely to serve God alongside the man in my life.
Some leisure-time activities I enjoy are playing volleyball and traveling, plus visiting museums and art exhibits, as well as browsing through antique stores and open-air markets. In addition, I feel happy when I attend plays, watch movies, ride bikes or paddle boats, plus attend backyard barbecues and church potlucks.
Once my right knee is repaired and healed I would love to learn to dance. I plan to have the arthroscopic lateral release done either during winter or spring break. It takes about six months to fully heal, although I can hobble about in just a week.
I pray daily that God will bless me with a man who adores and respects me just as much as I do him. I am a romantic at heart.
My Ideal Person:
Ideally, I hope to meet someone who is looking to settle down within the next year or two. On the other hand, though, I would enjoy good company if only just for dates. I appreciate a gentleman who is assertive yet flexible. I tend to be attracted to Godly men who are kind, intelligent, physically strong, hardworking, calm in times of crisis, and have a gentle sense of humor. In addition, a man who writes well impresses me.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I am thankful that Jesus Christ died for my sins so that I can be presented holy before a sinless God. I believe in the Trinity--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I am grateful that the Lord will never love me more or less than He does today and that I am important. It is wonderful to be a child of the King! I want to bring honor and glory to His name and be Jesus-like in character.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
My favorite verses are:
For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
James 4:8
Also, the verses about the meaning of love, Psalms, Proverbs, and the Song of Solomon touch me deeply.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
I want God to fully bless my future husband and I. The Bible stresses the importance of being equally yoked. I expect the man in my life to be the spiritual leader in our home.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in a tiny country town in Grand Ridge, Florida.
While in the U.S. Army from June 1980 to June 1984 I was stationed in South Carolina, Texas, Georgia, and Mannheim, West Germany. During my stint in Germany, I took tours through France, Spain, Rome, and Denmark. Since then I have done very little traveling, although I would enjoy having that opportunity again.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
At church I love to listen to and absorb an excellent message, socialize with good people, and help out in any way I can. I find "Celebrate Recovery" and growth classes informative and helpful. Potlucks, barbeques, and beach bonfires are great fun.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
During a typical day I exercise for an hour, shower, eat breakfast, and go to work early to prepare for my day. I teach all subjects to elementary age kids. This coming year I will be teaching Kindgarten for the first time! After school, I often teach the after school program. Then, I go home and grade papers, read, and attend church on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays.
I then come home, take another shower, read or watch TV for an hour, and then go to bed.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
On a personal level, I want to write books that bring honor to God and also some that simply delight children.
On a spiritual level, I want to please God with my thoughts, actions, and words. I want Him to use me powerfully for His purposes. I pray for wisdom and direction.
