Since coming to Jesus, I have been praying for God's will in the dating/marrying department. Often, I did not like His answer of "wait". Lately, I've been flooded with messages about Lazirus and the tomb how Jesus told the PEOPLE to loose him from his wrappings. There was an action involved in fulfilling His will...so here I am.
My Ideal Person:
God's will, first and foremost. His opinion of marriage can not be discounted. The marriage is His description of His son and His church. The man in my life will need to be one who understands that fact and cherishes the relationship to that point. God will align heart to eyes, His will to the sight of the one God intends. Man looks on the outside, but God sees the heart. I don't want a man obsessed, or possesive. I love banter with all quit-witted people, and love conversation with friends and strangers alike. Jealousy will need to find another heart to poison, another relationship to destroy-my mate will feel it too. He needs to be hard working (not workaholic), dedicated to faith and family, secure in his own skin, confident (not cocky or arrogant), unmaterialistic, forgiving and kind. Communicative and have some raisin' about him...MUST HAVE GREAT, CLEAN SENSE OF HUMOR! And be willing to consider the possibilty of adoring me.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
Two men from what was then my parents' church (and its now mine, too!)stopped by my apartment one fateful December Thursday night. I had just downed a beer and was sitting in the dark in my favorite chair wondering what the point of living was. They knocked, I invited them in and they both led me to Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. I was spiritually dead, but probably would have been physically dead very soon, had it not been for His grace and for the willingness of those two men to be used by Him at that moment. He has seen me through times I can't and won't willingly divulge here. He is my King, my God, and my friend. My faith is so personal, so strong and so important. It is the reason I live--literally.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
2 Cor. 4: 8 & 9; Luke 23:43 Romans 8:38 & 39 and those verses between Genesis 1:1...in the beginning....to Revelation 22:21...The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen...
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Because the Bible tells us to be equally yoked. I have seen it as a single, outside looking in so to speak. Over and over again, those relationships where God is at the center, the bumps don't break the relationship. God places examples of the results of His commandments being followed before us daily. He shows us on purpose for His purpose and though I may feel guilty and convicted for the straying of my thoughts, I love Him dearly for his admonishments, chastisements and teachings.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in the burbs of Washington DC. Haven't been blessed to travel much. I do love any mountaineous region, though. I've been seen the hills of NC, VA, WVA and TN.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love the seasonal dramas and acting in them. I can't really sing well, but love to anyway. I can carry a tune, but it has to be a pretty big bucket. I will sometimes go to karoke...I really have to want to though. I have grown to really dislike bars. I love sporting events of almost any kind outside church. Baptisms and communions are special. Favorite is the sunrise service on Resurrection Sunday and candle light service at Christmas.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Coffee, way too brief of time praying and devotions; feed the critters, shower, hair, makeup, work (job #1),make nightly deposit, On the days I don't work 2nd job, I come home, feed the critters, eat a bite do the dishes (check e-mails) do laundry, if needed, spend time in the yard if weather/light allow, read some of God's word, wash face, brush teeth go to bed. On the nights I do work two jobs, I leave the bank and go straight to my other job and get home about 11:30, 11:45 and undwind with e-mails, internet crossword puzzle, wash, brush, bed.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
Get out of debt, give more to the Lord, find a ministry to serve Him,if He will use me.
