It’s rather hard to talk about yourself, isn’t it? I think my family and friends would say, that I have a gentle nature and a good sense of humor. I believe laughter is good medicine (prov.17:22). I have a serious side and care deeply for those in need: physically, spiritually, or emotionally. My friends and family know that they can count on me. I have two married sons and two delightful grandkids. I like baseball and fast cars (zoom, zoom, zoom). I love animals, the arts, theater, and most music (including: sacred/gospel, classical, opera, pop, jazz, 60’s & 70’s rock and roll, big band, and Broadway show tunes etc, etc, etc.) I studied with a voice teacher for a number of years and I love to sing for the Lord. I have been involved in my church choir and performing arts group. I like my job, love to read, like old movies, do a little gardening, and enjoy walks on the beach. My desire is to be compassionate, affectionate, nurturing and fun to be with. I’ve tried to share a bit about myself, here in a few sentences; but we are each so much more than can be stated in so little space. Thanks for stopping by; and may the Lord bless you and keep you in His care.
My Ideal Person:
Integrity and authenticity are qualities that I value greatly. I look for openness, gentleness, kindness, warmth, "a romantic", and someone who listens well. I believe the art and gift of communication is both speaking and listening with understanding. I am drawn to people with strength of character, a good sense of humor, and playfulness. My heart's desire is to find someone with whom I can share my life in such a way that neither of us has any barriers...no walls erected... to feel safe and secure enough to share our fears, longings, desires, joys, and deepest secrets...to find my best friend, "soulmate", lover: where Christ is the center, and spiritual, physical, and verbal intimacy are engaged in, enjoyed, and celebrated.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I love Jesus Christ and have accepted Him as my Lord and Savior. I believe in the Trinity, in the virgin birth, and Christ's sacrificial death on the cross. I believe I am forgiven of my sins, and that the Bible is the infallible word of God. And, yes my faith is extremely important to me. I am a sinner saved by God's grace and grateful for His patience with me.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
It's hard to choose, but here are few: Gen. 1:1-3 In the beginning God created... Ex. 15:2 The Lord is my strength and my song; Many of the Psalms, Proverbs, and Song of Solomon; Phil 3:13-14 ...forgetting the past...I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus; Rev. 21:4 God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death,no sorrow, no crying, no pain...
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Well, of course we all know the scripture reference "do not be unequally yoked"...Once upon a time, I was married to a non-Christian...don't want to do that again. Two people who are born again Christians are not guaranteed harmony and compatibility, but I would not want to try to build a relationship without Christ at the center.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in a small CA coastal town...a great place to live. I have not traveled extensively but, hope to be able to in the future. I've been to London once, New York City once,(loved New York) Atlanta, Oregon coast(it's beautiful),various parts of CA, Nevada,& Hawaii. As a kid I traveled with family from CA to Oklahoma. Would love to re-visit the Grand Canyon.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
Music! Music! Music! I was in my church choir for many years (am taking a break right now); also sang in a trio, quartet, and various other small groups. I have been involved in our performing arts group and participated in musical dramas, one of which is an adaptation of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". It has become a church tradition(about 18 years now). I play Caroline Cratchit (you know,Tiny Tim's mum.) The adaptation has a great gospel message. I am really rather shy and introspective, but music and drama seem to help me "find my voice" (no pun intended)
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
To be a Prov 31 woman. (I will leave it to you to read)...It outlines a comprehensive list. I will not be so presumptuous as to say that I have completed "the list", only that I consider myself to be "a work in progress", and "the list" a noble and righteous goal, not to be attempted without the Lord.
