My friends would say that I'm outgoing and friendly. I'm very close to my family and love to spend time with them. My mother's side is 100% Italian and my dad's side is from the South. Needless to say, I grew up around some fantastic cooks! I was raised going to a Catholic church and now belong to a non-denominational church. I am a member of our choir and am co-founder of our 20's/30's group, where our motto is to 'strive to be a better whole, rather than just a better half'. I believe that it's important to be comfortable with who you are before you'll be successful in a relationship. One of my favorite summer activities is going to Cedar Point! I love to spend as much time outdoors as possible and enjoy doing yard work, believe it or not. I'm also a fan of cycling and enjoy spending a day at the beach.
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for a friend first, then we'll see what God has in store for us. I am looking for someone with strong family values. Someone who is adventurous, fun-loving and easy going. Someone who can laugh easily. I have a pretty strong personality, so I'd like to meet someone who is not afraid to speak his mind.
Favorite television shows:
Lost, Grey's Anatomy, So You Think You Can Dance, House,
Ugly Betty, Ice Road Truckers, The Hills
Favorite films:
Liar, Liar; The Cutting Edge; How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,
Drop Dead Fred

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I am a strong believer who's working to strengthen my relationship with Jesus Christ. I grew up in a Catholic family...we attended church every Sunday and holiday. We only prayed before holiday meals - never prayed before daily meals. We never read from the bible - in fact, I didn't even have my own bible until the 8th grade, when I made my confirmation. I received one as a gift, but I rarely opened it. I never looked forward to going to church - it was a chore.
I now belong to a non-denominational bible church that love to attend! Sunday's are my favorite time of the week. I own several bibles and open them more than I did as a child. I still struggle with making time to be in the Word each day. It's a habit that I'm trying to make more of a regular part of my life. My faith has grown my leaps and bounds over the past 4 years. I love being part of church that teaches direcly from the bible.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
I'm not a fan of this question - mostly because it makes me feel inadequate. I don't have any verses memorized, though I wish I did.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
A Christian relationship is so important to me because is so much a part of who I am. I spent a lot of years living a life that had nothing to do with God. I was unhappy and restless. I don't ever want to go back to that. I want to continue to grow my faith and my relationship with God. I would love to be able to do that with someone who feels the same way. God should be the center of any relationship. I've seen proof of that over and over again with friends from church. Friends whose relationships can stand the test of time if God is their center. That's proof enough for me.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in Michigan. My father was in the military, so when I was young I lived in North Carolina briefly and then we spent several years in Germany - my brother and sister were born there. I've traveled to several states, but have only been out of the country once for vacation. I've traveled to Colorado, New York, New Jersey, Alabama, Kentucky. I spent last New Year's Eve in Times Sqaure! It was fun and a great experience. Not sure that I would do it again, though, as it was VERY cold! I also recently went to the Dominca Republic for a 10 day vacation with several friends. It was my first time in a tropical environment and it's one of the best vacations I've ever taken!
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
Church: choir, women's studies, Sunday services. I grew up hating to go to church, so it's so great to belong to a church that I love to attend!
Outside: I like to ride my bike on the trails, I love to spend time in the yard, I like to spend time with my friends, I like to hang out with my parents.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Get up, feed the cat, get ready, go to work. Come home, feed the cat, do yard work if it's needed, ride my bike if there's time or spend time with friends. Relax at home in the evenings.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
Personal: finish my college degree; become debt free; be happy with what God has given me.
Spiritual: become a reader of the Word on a regular basis; put God first in all that I do.
