First of all, just like the line says, I'm untamed! I'm very independent and very driven. All of this equals up to being single. =P
I'm very spontaneous and live for adrenaline rushes!! I love anything fast, i.e. cars, roller coasters, you get it. In the summer, I love to kayak, especially if there's white water or the chance to die. =P I'm a very big thrill-seeker! =)
As you probably suspected, I'm one of those people who's always on-the-go and for the most part, I love it! I like to constantly be doing something, accomplishing something, and completing something. Stress is my best friend! =P I work very well under pressure and don't mind to.
My passion in life is music. I'm a flute player and I sing. Those two things alone are enough to help me stay sane when things get crazy! As far as playing, the Baroque area and its music are my favorites. I love Bach, Vivaldi, and Telemann. All three wrote spectacular flute music. Bach is by far my favorite, though. When I sing, it's about 97% praise & worship and contemporary Christian. I can sing just about anything but I prefer something with a positive message. I'm currently finishing up my senior year of high school, and this fall I will be attending Indiana Wesleyan University to study Music Education and Worship Ministry.
Even though I live for thrills, I also balance out the craziness. Regardless of being only 18, I'm a very deep individual. I love thought-provoking discussions and I love deep conversations that go somewhere. I love to study the Scripture and really hunt after what it's saying and how it can be applied to my life today. I think it's one of the coolest things ever when you start to read something you've read a hundred times before and the Holy Spirit begins to unveil to you new things you missed the hundred times before.
There's a rea I save my explanation of my spiritual life for last. I wanted to see if you could stay awake. =) Haha, anyway. Yes, I am a Christian obviously, but honestly, I'm not sure I'm proud of that title anymore. So many people are calling themselves Christians today and yet they lead lives that God never intended for them. I don't judge them for it because none of us are perfect.. but it does make me rethink what I'm doing and why I'm doing it. Instead I'd rather be referred to as a disciple. When comparing myself to the original 11, I don't think I compare at all. My perality is that of Peter's but Peter was a STUD. =P Of all of them, he was definitely my favorite disciple and the one I relate to the most; talk without thinking, bold, daring, even ornery! I love to dig into the bible, as I said before, and I love to read other sources of Christian influence and literature also. Max Lucado, Frank Peretti, Ted Dekker, Bill Myers, Brennan Manning, and Oswald Chambers are by far my favorite Christian authors. I've read many of their books, and I know I've read all of Bill Myers' adult books. I love getting lost in a book while lying in a hammock. =) It's amazing! Anyway! As I said before, I am not perfect nor do I try to be. I try to walk the way Jesus did but just as every other per does, I fall short of that. It's called learning. And I'm not afraid to learn. God is my best friend and we talk to each other in that exact way. I'm a very real per- who I am in front of people is who I am in front of God. I don't hide things from people and I most certainly don't hide things from God (taking into consideration he already knows anyway. =P) I'm not the type of per to tell someone who's struggling with a sin that they need to repent or they will go to hell; that isn't right and I hate it when people do that! Yes, repentance is important but so is loving them and not forcing theology down their throats. I love people and I love listening and helping them with their problems- not shoving my doctrine down their throats. Anyway, my faith is the most important thing to m...
