Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
Faith is essential, hands down. We can't make it apart from God.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Revelation 21:4
A wonderful promise that I stake my life on. So many people, christians or otherwise live with their memories of times past. Many have been hurt beyond words and must manage and live their life around those circumstances of the past. This verse promises that the things that have hurt us in the past will be no more.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Because a true christian focuses on God. On growing to be more like Christ every day. With the Holy Spirit within each of us we will be accomplishing the growth God wants for us. Day by Day. A relationship between a man and a woman is rife with challenges because we are human. With God, we can do all things together. Forgiveness, mercy, patience, joy, peace, resourcefullness etc, etc. etc. come from God and are tantamount in a successful relationship.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and raised in Evansville. I spent a few of my early years in the Irving, Texas area. We lived there when President Kennedy was assassinated. I have lived in 9 different states at one time or another. Most after I graduated from High School. I've lived in Indiana, Kentucky, Hawaii, California, Washington State, Texas, Louisiana, South Carolina, Georgia (can't remember the 9th one at the moment, LOL!).
I've never travelled outside the U.S. though. I'd love to visit Australia though.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love singing in Church. I spent about 11 years singing in the choir. I love talking to other christians about their conversion experience.
I love to read and always have at least 2 books started. I read a lot of christian stuff. God has always sent a book to me on whatever subject He currently wants me to work on.
I play in a clabber league here in E'ville on Thursday nights and i have a group of fellas that I play 8 ball with at the American Legion.
I take tons of pictures of my friends, family (grandkids and kids), and of Legion Activities. This year I will be responsible for the Legion Color Guard to honor fallen/deceased soldiers on Memorial.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I start dragging myself out of bed around 5:45 a.m. and have to be at work at 7:00 a.m. I work for a factory that manufactures plastic. I get off around 3:30 p.m. and head to Newburgh to pick up my 6 year old grandson from daycare. Then i have to get him fed, bathed, homework, fun in there somewhere, and then bed; I do this Sunday through Thursday. Sometimes i spend the night at his house because I lay down with him till he falls asleep which means I usually fall asleep too. LOL!
I don't watch much T.V. except for dancing shows and American Idol.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
This year my goal is to work on seeing joy in my life and draw closer to God through study and prayer.
I am shooting at putting picture/history of my family together for my kids and grandkids this year. I love photography and I want to leave a legacy of pictures for my kids to enjoy.
