Hi, I'm Lisa. I am a nice girl with a big smile that laughs easily. My friends tell me that I am sweet, bubbly and fun. I haven't dated much, but as far as what would be fun on a date...I'm flexible as long as it's not illegal, or immoral...lol. I've bungie jumped and used to have my nose peirced. I have a tatoo on each ankle, which I slightly regret. I love the symphony, a good movie and great conversation. I love to dance, but find going to the ballet kind of boring. On the other hand, I love dance movies like Save the Last Dance or Step Up. My step-grandma always tells me God has an invisible "reserved" sign on my forhead...lol... and when it's the right time and the right guy God will make things happen. On the other hand I work with mostly women because I'm a nurse, so no opportunities there. I don't go clubbing or to bars....so I thougth I'd give this a try and see what happens. God works in mysterious ways, can't put him in a box...lol.
Anyway, I am back in college to get my associates degree in nursing. I've been an LPN for 5 years and this December I will be an RN! I love working in the medical field, and hope to someday do missions trips that involve medical/humanitary relief work. I am working at a local hospital right now, but would love to travel. Some of the places I want to go are India, Africa, South America, Hawaii, California, and Arizona. I've been to BC, Canada for a conference and the mountains are gorgeous!!! I am currently working midnight shift on the weekends. My grandparents pastor a non-denominational charismatic church that meets on Sunday nights. Because of my work schedule I am not able to attend services, but I visit a local church that has a midweek service. I am praying for an opportunity to work a day shift job, but will have to continue working the weekends so I can go to school during the week. I love to have fun with the people I am with. I tend to be shy and quiet when I first meet people, but I open up and then I never shut up...lol..just kidding. I love to do things with friends and family. It doesn't matter what as long as we are doing it together. I love movies and I love to read even more. I read mostly sappy romance novels...I know it's sad...lol. I am a sucker for a good romance story. I also enjoy Joyce Meyer's books or watching Ed Young (a television preacher) on Sunday mornings after I get home from work. In the summer I enjoy swimming, rollerbladding, and of course I can shop all year round...lol. I'm not much of an outdoor person, but I've roughed it a time or two. In fact, one of the most interesting things about my life is how I grew up...ask me sometime. I am not a musician by any stretch of the imagination. Got a D in music class..lol, but I love to sing. I sing at the top of my lungs in my car to country music. I also love contemorary christian and praise & worship. Every once in a while a pop or rock song will catch my ear if I listen to it at work. I really like the song "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield. I have a cat. A big fat lazy thing named Max. I adore him. What else can I tell you...? I like to write poetry. I've written a few plays for church. I love the arts! But, when the day is done it's all about Jesus!

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I am a born again Christian. I have been saved since I was 8, but really fell in love with Jesus when I was a teenager. Living for Christ is my life.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Psalm 27 has helped me a lot, but the whole book of Psalms is really special to me.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
I think that Christ should be the foundation upon which friendship is built. With Christ as the center of any relationship be it parent to child, or between spouses or friends it makes for a strong holy bond.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in Michigan near the Traverse City area. My dad is a traveling salesman so I have been through and to many states. Pennsilvania, North/South Carolina, Kentucky, Texas, Missoury, Iowa, Oregon, Tennessee, Illinois, Oklahoma and all the states in between. I live in Indiana now. I think my favorite city is St.Louis.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love to be involved in childrens ministry. I also love to get involved in the arts. I used to lead a praise dance team, help with passion plays and such.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I work every weekend and usually pick up one day during the week. I work nights, so most of my days are spent sleeping. I keep track of my cat, read books, hang out with friends or family on my days off.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I want to read the books in the Bible that I've never read before. I got Job done. It was really moving. I want to be able to overcome some of my fears with Gods help and love. I want to be able to discern His voice more clearly.
