I love life and all it has to offer. I enjoy meeting new people and adding to my circle of friends. My priorities are pretty simple--faith, family, then work--but it's not always easy to keep them in that order. I'm working on it! I have an outgoing personality, and love to get together with others to watch the Packers, play games and craft. Yes, I'm an avid scrapbooker. I also enjoy the outdoors--walking in the woods, camping (in the right season) and just playing.
My Ideal Person:
I'm looking for a friend first--someone to hang out with and enjoy the seasons of life with. My son is a very important part of my life, so it's essential the person I meet be willing to hang out with him, too! We'll see where it goes from there; that's all in God's plan and timing.
Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is the basis for my life, and it's essential that the people in the inner circle of my life share that love of the Lord, because it is the first love.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Jeremiah 29:11 is such a promise and sense of peace for me--For I know the plans I have for, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. And Proverbs 3:5-6 has seen me through some very difficult times in my life, which I will definitely share if you get to know me.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up on a farm in rural Northeast Wisconsin. My favorite trip was just a few years ago when we drove out to Washington State and back. Seeing God's handiwork in the mountains, the forests and the oceans was phenomenal! Also have enjoyed journeys to Florida and California--and Texas is next!
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I recently started facilitating a GriefShare program at my church, and it has proven to be a wonderful opportunity for me to share from the depth of my experience was God has done for me, and I know He will do for others if they only ask. I also enjoy Bible study and prayer, meeting regularly with a friend from church for a book study. I am also active with a number of fund-raising activities including the local Relay for Life.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Routine? I have a pre-teen in the house--there is no routine! But there is a lot of fun. I try to start each day with a devotion as well as a trip to the Y. I feel so much better when I start my day out with both. Then it's wake the son, get him to school and get myself to work! After school/work, it can be a variety of sporting/other extracurricular events with the hope of being able to simply relax in the evening! Of course, there's the work at home that needs to be done, too!
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
Quite simply: to grow in my faith, love and understanding of God.
