What a challenge. Are there NO liberal, peace makers in this world any more. Is it just so unpopular....STILL? Are there any activists on this site? Anyone who is not satisfied with going along with the status quo? I become clearer and clearer on what I don't want, which in essence makes it easier to describe what I do want. My children are grown and they were a full time job. I am not interested in starting over helping someone else raise their children. (I tried that.) Too many complications. I am very physically active and very involved in life. Although, I am very balanced. I need a balance of inner and outer life. Too much social time and I burn out and too much introverted time and I would be depressed. Okay, I will admit it right up front, (since it seems to be so popular on this site. Even though I am usually much more private about my faith and do not choose to be like the Pharisees "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.”) I have a Master's of Divinity Degree. THAT is how important my faith is to me. I was an ordained United Methodist church clergy up until 2000 and since that time have served as an interim Pastor and doing "pulpit supply" for the U.C.C. church (United Church of Christ) Between my Real Estate, Singing and Preaching I keep very busy! I love to travel, ride my motorcycle on occasion. I am self employed and enjoy my freedom. I am in NVC (non-violent communication) training. It would be important to me to have my partner willing to participating in the same. I am more spiritual than religious. I am politically involved in the DOP (Dept of Peace) and other liberal activist organizations. I am concerned and aware of the environment and am doing my part to make sure that future generations will have it better than we do.
My Ideal Person:
Moderation, moderation, moderation. No extremes or drama, chaos, ex-wives, children, extreme sports etc. My partner will be physically fit, very active, attractive, successful in his own right. His hair will not be longer than mine (grin) and he either is clean shaven or very groomed facial hair. If you enjoy the "bar scene" please pass me by for there are other women who you will have a far greater time with than me. Integrity is the most important thing to me. Respect for one another and our differences. He will support me and my dreams. He will not be in a hurry or pushy, just in the flow and trusting the process of what God places before us. No resistance. He will care enough to really get to know me, my inner beauty, intellegence and gifts and talents. We will just know. What I am learning about men, in relationship with me, is that he would have to be a strong and confident man. A man who can handle a fully matured, strong and capable woman who is all that God created her to be. A man who does not try to keep his woman small just so he can feel big. I am a child of God. God created me to have many feminine as well as masculine qualities. (I raised my twin boys for 18 years by myself after all.) He would have to be able to handle being with an independent, out spoken, and free child of God. And I would want him to be my "equal" in that freedom.
