I am an English as a second language teacher in an elementary school. I have a beautiful 6-year-old daughter and am the animal guardian to a Husky mix and a Corgi. I have traveled quite a lot and am enjoying introducing my daughter to it. I recently became a part of the Missions Team at my church, which includes our missions to Mexico and Africa.
My Ideal Person:
I would like to meet someone who is responsible but doesn't take himself too seriously. I would like someone who would challenge me but not kill me with my fitness goals. He would need to be willing to accept my daughter, animals, friends and family as I would accept those important to him.
Favorite television shows:
Dog Whisperer, Law & Order
Favorite musicians or bands:
the Beatles

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
For 38 years of my life I was what the administrative pastor at my church calls a "closet Christian." My actions showed my faith but my words didn't. My most enduring friendships during the years have been with people strong in their own faith and active in their churches. Many tried unsuccessfully to get me to become a member of their church. I was overwhelmingly confused by all the denominations. I will be forever greatful to the friend her introduced me to her community church, of which I have been a member of two years.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
I like 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (love is . . . /love does not . . .) I don't have a lot of favorites yet because I am just beginning to study the Bible.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
My relationships with Christians endure because I want to be with people whose values, ethics, morals, and standards are based on timeless principles such as those found in the Bible. I have more difficulties with people who allow popular opinion and culture to define them and influence their choices.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I mostly grew up in Idaho. I have traveled to Africa, through much of Europe, through Mexico, the U.S., and Canada. I love to visit capital cities.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
At church I am on the Missions Team because of the travel and potential for travel that it involves.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
My daily routine is to get myself and my daughter ready for school, get to and through school, then take care of her, the dogs, and the house in the afternoon/evening. I try to find some time for myself also to exercise, check e-mail, etc.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I want to increase my fitness level and finish a couple of endorsements to my teaching certificate that I have started. Spiritually I wan to learn more about the Bible and apply in to my everyday, not just Sunday, life.
