Well, when I first wrote this I had little idea of what I was really looking for; now, however, I feel like I can write a little more cogently about what I am like and what I would love to find. First of all, I have common sense (although I don't always use it). By this I mean I do not need someone to explain things to me; I have a very capable mind of my own. Having said that, my deepest desire is to find a man with a brain that leaves mine in the dust. I am not merely referring to one's level of education or one's general knowledge base, but to a clever and insightful mind that is usually one step ahead of mine. Secondly, I am happy. I prefer to look on the bright side of things, and if you don't, we probably aren't going to be more than friends. This is not to say that my life is perfect, but I am blessed beyond belief. Of course, I would consider myself blessed to an even greater degree if I could find someone to share the rest of my life with. This leads me to my next point: a point that is extraordinarily odd to mention to someone before even meeting formally, but which I believe is necessary after some interactions on this site. I am looking for marriage and . I don't mean that I will be picking out china patterns after a month of speaking, just that if you know that those things have no place in your future, once again, we will likely never be more than friends. I am not in any hurry; in fact, I don't believe in rushing things. I think life progresses at its natural pace, and [I]that[/I] is beyond my control. I believe in a relationship in which the man values his partner's opinions and considers them with respect, but makes the final decisions, decisions supported by the woman. In return, he is responsible to care for, protect, and love her. I am hoping to find someone who shares my rather old-fashioned ideas about what a relationship (and, hopefully, marriage) should be like. I am intelligent, educated, and love to laugh. I can be a bit shy, but once I am comfortable, I am quite voracious. I love witty repartee and intellectual conversations, as well as being silly at times. I am kind and sensitive.
