49 year old Woman in Lathrup village, Michigan, United States Looking For: Men for a dating relationship, marriage, a friend, a bible study partner, a pen pal or a prayer partner

Profile for dbtx
Trust in the God and follow the way of the Lord. Keeping this path will never lead one astray.

I really hate filling out these types of questionnaires!

I am a very observant person that appears to be more on the introvert personality scale. Especially, when I am observing someone. Once I get to know the person and I become more comfortable with them; then I become more of an extrovert.

I believe in the teaching and practice of the bible. I love letting a man be the head of his house (Esp 5:22, 23). I believe that women should dress modestly (1Ti 2:9). I strive to be a woman that will one day be a wife of noble character (Pro 31:10 - 31). If more people would adhere to these lessons, then the world would be a better place. Promiscuity would not be the norm. My moral values has cause me to have few dates.

I love cooking and taking care of a man. I do not have children; so I did not state that I love taking care of a family. I was not blessed with children from my previous marriage. However, I have been told that I would have been a good mother because children just seem to gravitate towards me.

I believe that there needs to be balance between a man and a woman. Especially, if the woman works outside of the home. Balance is needed to ensure that ones priorities are in check. The Lord must be the center of ones Life to ensure balance is maintained. I read the bible daily and practice my daily devotion. My job requires that I travel frequently, therefore, I am not as active in my church as I would like. That being said, I make sure that I am able to devote time to the Lord when I am on the road by reading my "Open Windows" devotional booklet. I carry this booklet with me everywhere I go because it is so easy to let other matters creep into the first place spot.

Honesty, trust, respect are core values that I must have in a relationship.

I love romance. Quick getaways for the weekend. I love walking in the woods, on the beach, and in the mountains. I am not into sports, but I will watch them if the person I am dating enjoys this type of activity. PDAs are wonderful. I love fine dining, but I also enjoy putting on some jeans and grilling outside.

When time permits, I enjoy teaching crafts to young girls at church. Baking my famous chocolate cake for my Godson and knitting. Yes I do knit and I am not talking about the afghan that you got from you Great Aunt Betty.

My Ideal Person:
I am not looking for a particular person - I am waiting for God to send me the right person. I have been down this road before and I have done a terrible job at selecting the proper mate. Hence, I will wait on the Lord and he will provide.

Favorite television shows: History Channel, History International, CNN

Favorite films: Ten Commandments, Color Purple, Alien(s), Lost in Space, Star Trek, Highlander, LeFemme Nakita (fr)

Favorite musicians or bands: Many.. too diverse to select just one.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I am constantly growing in my faith. Each day is a blessing and it is important to give GOD the glory and praise for each and every day you wake up and go to bed. Far to often, we only pray to GOD when we are in trouble, in pain, or going through turmoil. It is important to have a relationship with GOD at all times. We must give GOD unforgettable praise! O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.. Psalms 95:6

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Psalm 67 1-7

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
We are living in a time of great tribulation. The bible is fulfilling itself. I am looking for a partner that has the same core values and beliefs. Only through the Lord will we be saved.

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I was reared in the midwest in a small city near the Great Lakes. I have traveled to most of the states in the US. I have also visited Canada, Mexico, and Jamaica. I enjoy any place where there is a variety geographical topology. Alaksa has some of the most beautiful mountains I have ever seen.

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love to sing - enough though I can not carry a tune. <lol>

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
The first thing I do when I wake is to thank God for giving me another day, I ask God to provide me with tolerance, wisdom, and knowledge for the day. Pray throughout the day - giving God thanks for the many blessing He provides. (My job can be stressful at times!) I come home and work out, eat dinner, connect with family members, and catch up on the news. Before bed, I study my daily devotion and read some verses in the Bible. I pray for our troops and their families. I pray for our eaders and for our enemies. I pray for my co-workers, their families, for the sick, wounded, abandon, needy, and lost. Finally I give God thanks for being my provider and protector.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
To grow closer to my Lord. By doing this than everything else will fall into place.
