Right now I am separated with a divorce pending, so just need a friend for now. Moving to Greensboro, North Carolina soon so I am kind in double limbo. I am caring, intelligent, easy to get along with. Always have a book with me. Like jazz, big bands and classical. Don't watch a lot of TV. Love dogs, cats and most animals. I'm a good cook, sometimes gourmet, but usually insist on eating healthy. I like fixing things around the house, painting or flooring or shelves or something like that. I am not a controller, I would rather live and let live, I am having trouble finding a church right now, but I prefer to have a good church and fairly frequent fellowship, preferably weekly. I like things neat and orderly, but am not always successful. If you are a neat freak, it could be a problem, and if you are a slob I can't stand that either.
My Ideal Person:
First someone who has been forgiven a lot, because I have some skeletons. I really perk up when someone loves to discuss Theology and Philosophy. I realize that counts out most people. Sigh. Mostly someone who thinks a lot about God and life and what our lives are really about: about what eternity is all about. Not just someone who goes to church, but who really wants to know whatever we CAN know and believes that actions have consequences. A man I can look up to and learn from. A best friend. Who believes the Bible is true. Not necessarily a Church person, but that is good, too. Someone who reads a lot and is interested in learning all the time. Someone who actually knows what he believes and why, or at least knows the important part and is actively trying to find out the rest. Someone who can forgive my past failures and doesn't beat himself up either for his. We need to believe in God's grace, or we will live in defeat. Not a controller, Someone who loves animals, including cats, and I kind of have a problem with hunting. Not anyone who has a drinking or drug problem or a smoker. Someone who likes to work with his hands, build stuff. I like someone who is romantic, but not suffocating. Sometimes I need time and space. I am very faithful, but I like to be alone sometimes.
Favorite television shows:
I rarely watch TV

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is unshakeable. I wish I could say the same for my walk, but I try.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Revelation chapter 21. I really look forward to the new heavens and new earth. I tend to get tired of this one, especially after watching the news, which I try not to do very often. I love life and my life so long as I focus on my little part of the world, but with forces like Islam and Hillary in the world, it can be suffocating.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
It would be good to have someone who understands attitudes like my answer to the previous question.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Cook three meals a day for my Dad and myself and one for my sister. Take my dad and sister to doctor appointments, usually one to three times per week lately. Work one day per week at a medical clinic as an I.V. nurse. Spend a lot of time working around the house, minor remodeling-type jobs, and cleaning. Spend a lot of time online taking classes. I am learning to trade the forex and S&P futures. Spend an hour or so reading every day.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
Personal goal is to learn to trade forex for a living so I can live anywhere and take my job with me and maybe take my Dad traveling. My spiritual goal is to get back to having spiritual goals again. I'm afraid I have let the busyness of life sap my spirit lately.
