I am a Pentecostal Christain. I was baptized as a Methodist as a child, attended a Baptist High School, and a Church of God College. After college I was unable to obtain a job in my field of study, History. I drifted from job to job looking for a place. At the age of 27 I recommitted my life to the Lord and my life changed. I had always been in church, but this time the scripture came alive to me and the Holy Spirit starting speaking to me. I firmly believe in the gifts of the Spirit and the authority of the believer that Christ gave to the church. A lot of who I am is tied up in my spiritual beliefs and the rest of it is summed up by the influence of my family and extended family. I try not to be too tied up in politics, but continue to be facinated by it. I vote by religious beliefs first and foremost and beieve that those that do not need to do a soul searching.
Iike English murder mysteries, suspense movies, some comedies, history documentories, and non-political documentories. I am a huge fan of most of the home improvement shows. I am intelligent and enjoy discussing or even debating a wide variety of subjects. I am currently involved in an active job search and determining the next direction of my career and life. I have been on two missions trips as opposed to my fathers' four, but do desire to be involved in full time ministry at some time in my life. I believe in speaking in tongues, prophesying, words of knowledge, healing, and much more. I am creative and flexible and am comfortable in the city and in the country. I spent a lot of time on my grandpa's farm as a child, but have worked in the corporate world. I have been teaching Sunday school or children's classes on and off since I was fourteen. I am comfortable with children and adults. I have been known to tell the children in my classes that, "I am not your mother and you will not talk to me that way." Children respect authority, but will walk all over you if allowed. Adults are a different animal. Be able to work with the challenge is the key.
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for a strong Christian man. I dated a man that was not a mature Christian and was very umcomfortable being the stronger christain in the relationship. I was his complete emotional support and received very little in return. I felt like I was a mentor. I will not be unequally yoked again and certainly not in a marriage. I want a man that is at least my equal in faith and Christian maturity, but would prefer a stronger christian than myself.
I want someone like myself that is comfortable in the country and in the city. I want someone that is not stuck on designer lables and name brands. Although I have some of both, God has provided them and usually on clearance. I am not the most frugle person, but after climbing out of debt I do not ever want to go back, except for a home mortgage. I would like someone that manages their finances well.
I'd like a man that doesn't mind being in the kitchen every now and then and isn't handicapped when it comes to laundry. I also want a handyman. I know my way around a toolbox and prefer that any man in my life would know considerbly more about home repair than myself. I would like any man in my life to know something about cars becasue I don't.
I want a man that wants children, and enjoys being with family and extended family. I want some to watch movies with, go out to dinner with now and then, and cook dinner for and with.
I want some that looks good in a suit, but is comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt.
I wanted an educated man. Either a degree or someone than has educated themselves through reading, internet, and life study. I am a deep thinker and want the same. I know a little about a wide variety of subjects and need some one to keep up or teach me more.
I'd like someone that knows how to shoot well, and yes I mean a gun. I have never learned, but firmly believe in the second ammendment and would like someone to teach me how to shoot.
You must like dogs. I have to have a dog.
Being tech savy would be a plus.
I am solid christian woman, and belive firmly in the American way. I am looking for the same.
