My objective in joining this site is to make new friends outside my current social circle and to find that special "Knight In Shining Armour" whose path I may not otherwise cross.
There are so many things that I would like to share with that wonderful, awesome, gift of God. Sooo...If after reading the following description of me you feel that small knudge from the Holy Spirit, don't hesitate to contact me. You may have only a small window of opportunity before He moves on. _____________________________________ __________________ I am a gospel singer / song writer and I have my very own "gospel trio". That is the ministry that the Lord has called me to and I'll probably do it as long as I have a voice.
I have walked with the Lord for as long as I can remember, altho, not in perfection. Made a few mistakes along the way and I am so thankful that I serve such a gracious and forgiving God. My pride is my pitfall, His Grace is my Salvation.
I am quite an active person and I have a variety of interests, both indoors and out. I can be sweet and tender as needed but also a bit sassy when it is appropriate. (My favorite personality is Carol Burnet, ***if that gives you a clue).
I enjoy a funny movie on occasion and I laugh a lot, (at life). I often enjoy a lovely dinner with a friend, I attend live theater and a few concerts each year.
I prefer the out-of-doors over being inside. Although, A little cabin in the woods with a fire burning and a cup of hot cocoa is a favorite way to spend a "wind down" evening.
Before I got so busy I used to enjoy Ballroom Dancing. Now it's difficult to find a place that is acceptable for a Christian to do that sort of exercise. So... I play tennis with my daughter who beats me at almost every game, so I'm not very good at it. Still, I play hard and I like the work out.
I used to take several vacations a year to far away places but my work keeps me traveling these days so I haven't had a real vacation in some time.
I have always been active in church and most of my adult life I have been involved in music ministry. In addition to singing with my Trio I am currently on the praise and worship team at the church where I have attended for about eleven years.
I like seeing new places, and would love to have some new adventures with a happy, creative friend.
Of my three adult children, two are married and one is in college and engaged to be married, they are all serving the Lord in some capacity.
People tell me that I have a warm and affectionate personality, that I am up-beat and that they never find me down. I have a generous nurturing spirit and I am very positive and can find a humorous side to almost anything.
I live alone and 'tho I'm not stuck on myself, I enjoy being who I am, knowing full well that I am not what I will be, as day to day I am being changed, from glory to glory, and I will one day be perfected fully into HIS image.
If you are divorced please be sure that you have a "Biblical" right to re-marry before responding.
My Ideal Person:
There is just one absolute expectation that I have in a companion, he must be a "sincere path walker", a Christian at home as well as in public.
Other personality traits hoped for are,... maybe a good singing voice and (altho not a firm requirement), playing an instrument would make points.
He should be honest and trust worthy and possess a positive attitude and definately NOT BE MOODY.
I enjoy spending time with a man who is a real gentleman and rather traditional. One who is respectful, a good conversationalist, sweet, considerate and kind to everyone (especially me Someone who lives "the love of God" and who is not judgmental or critical. Someone who is Christian but not legalistic. I cut my hair, wear make-up, wear jeans and jewelry. (Especially diamonds
I prefer a companion who is educated and articulate, one who can take charge and make decisions and still maintain a loving attitude.
My special friend should be one who laughs a lot and likes to have fun, is rather out-doorsey, but also is equally comfortable with more sophistocated environments. We don't have to be active all the time, quiet relaxing times at home are great BUT "Couch Potatoes" need not apply
Many have come my way but have failed to capture my heart. I have seen that falling in love is easy. But relationships take work. My special guy will have time to spend and be willing to share himself in a way that will keep that love growing FOREVER. I believe in spending a lot of time with "MY BEST FRIEND", but I don't think it is healthy to live in each other's pockets either. Everyone needs alone time to spend with God.
We all have preferences but we must realize that what we consider perfect for ourselves may not be what God considers perfect for us. SO (for me) when it comes to the bottom line...I want what God wants, nothing more, nothing less.
So, Can we,... should we...talk?
Favorite television shows:
I don't watch enough TV to get attached.
Favorite films:
I enjoyed "The Lake House", and "Kate
& Leopold", great concept. 'Tho no favorites
come to mind.
Favorite musicians or bands:
Will have to think about that.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
I try to read the Bible daily. I have so many favorites and it generally depends upon my mood or my current situation. I go to scripture for guidance, strength and knowledge. King David said "I will hide thy word in my heart that I might not sin against God". God said "David is a man after my own heart". I too want to be a woman after God's heart. That is my personal goal.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
If A relationship is built upon the ROCK, when the storms come and the waves crash, it will stand firm. If the relationship is built on anything else, the storm and the crashing waves will wash it away. It's that simple.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in the small Swedish town of Kingsburg, CA. I moved away for 18 years and finally came back home again. It's located in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley and it's a safe and lovely community. I have traveled to Canada and Puerto Rico and at least 26 states of the USA. I think my most favorite place to visit is Colorado. The sunsets there and scenic beauty at 9000 ft elevation is unsurpassed. I plan to do a lot more traveling when I retire.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love to sing and am on the Praise & Worship team and am a soloist in my little church where we seldom have more that 150 worshippers. I also sing in concerts around the valley.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
My office is in my home and I am master of my own schedule so it varies. I like to start my day with Bible reading and Prayer along with coffee, then exercise.
I work a lot of afternoons and evenings and my social days are Friday & Sunday.
I go to church Sundays and Wednesdays and I try to get in a morning at least once weekly to write music. I play tennis with my daughter as often as her schedule will allow.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
To become independantly wealthy so that I can retire and travel world wide :)
On the other hand, I only wish to please the Lord in all that I do. I don't want to walk through the gates of Glory with empty hands. Therefore, I must be about My Father's business.
