I am currently working on my bachelor’s degree from a University in Texas. I lived there for a year and a half but recently moved back to KC and am finishing my degree online. I have about two years left before I graduate and then plan to go on for my master’s degree. I feel that God has called me to be a counselor so I am working on becoming an LPC. I have a heart to counsel people involved in ministry, as well as, church members and people within the community. This is a goal for my life and I hope to see it come to pass in about 4 or 5 years. In the mean time I groom dogs. I have been a dog groomer for about 10 years.
I enjoy working with the youth at my home church. I am a youth sponsor and I love that I get to help mold the lives of the next generation. It is so awesome when you get to see real change take place and the youth that you work with move from teen to young adult. My hope is that what they are learning now follows them throughout their whole lives.
I feel called to fulltime ministry. I know that is not the same for everyone so for me that means helping people work through the healing process due to past hurts or choices that have been made. I don’t see counseling as the only thing that I am called to do. I have the gift of helps so I am very flexible and willing to give time to areas or ministries that need it. I also want a happy and healthy marriage and family that would be honorable to God.

My Ideal Person:
I am looking for someone that has chosen to make Christ the center of his life. I don’t say that just to say it. I truly would like the person that I am in a relationship with to be serious about their spiritual walk.
