My name is Kathy and I'm pretty new to the whole dating thing. I enjoy outdoor activities (hiking, climbing, swimming, biking) the performing arts, dancing, and just laughing and having a good time with family and friends. My , extended family, church, and community and world service are all very important to me. I would like to find someone with similar values and priorities.
My Ideal Person
I am seeking, first and foremost, a man who loves God and makes a sincere effort to match his life with his doctrine. I also am seeking a man who is not ultraconservative in his political values and who believes that submission applies to both male and female Christians in a mutually loving and giving relationship. I am open to someone with a variety of interests because I like to learn new things. I would, however, need to spend my time with a man who I can trust completely and who shares my basic values.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is what keeps me going. Without it, I don't know how I could survive.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
1 Corinthians 13, James, many Psalms (e.g., 37, 139).
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
First, the Bible directs us not to be yoked with unbelievers. I believe this to be good direction, especially based on my experience with and knowledge of "unequally yoked" relationships. In addition, during the dating relationship it is critical to date a Christian if you do not believe in premarital sex because almost all men who are not true Christians expect premarital sex.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in different locations, primarily in the Midwest. I have traveled to many countries around the world, primarily in Europe and Latin America. I enjoyed Latin America the most (especially Peru). I would like to travel to Africa, Asia, and Australia.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I enjoy participating in women's discussion and prayer groups within my church. I also enjoy dinners with good friends (especially trying international food), dancing, going to concerts, and traveling.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
During the week, of course, most of my day is spent at work. When I come home my time is taken up with cooking and assisting my teen with different activities. I usually take an hour or so in the evening to relax (read, talk to a friend, or watch a movie) and do a bit of exercise.
On Saturday's I do volunteer work and try to get out and do something fun (shopping, road trips, dinner, visiting) with friends and family. Sunday is mostly taken up with church and church activities, with some time to hang out with friends from church who live further away and their families.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
My personal/spiritual goal is just to become more like Jesus and help my child and family come to Christ.
As mentioned earlier, my newest personal goal is to go to Africa next year with my teen and maybe some other friends and family to serve (I am interested in providing HIV education), get to know the people, and do some sightseeing and climbing if there is time.
