I am the youngest of 3 daughters born of Irish/English ancestry. My family and heritage are both very important to me, but my faith is number one. I have been blessed with wonderful , many lifelong friends and a zest for life. I am active in my community, as a business owner, a volunteer, a mentor and in my church.
I own my own home & maintain it myself, including tiling, painting, gardening, woodworking, furniture building and refinishing, plumbing, electrical repairs, etc.
I am physically fit and enjoy my daily walks as well as roller blading, swimming, skiing and now beginning to canoe. I am fortunate to be able to eat as I wish without worry of weight gain. I LOVE great food and enjoy cooking wether it be the traditional Sunday dinner, grilling, soups or decadent deserts, breads and pastries from scratch.
I love to do anything outdoors in any kind of weather - hiking, rafting, parachuting, walking, skating...you name it, I'm there. I also love most forms of music especially Opera (my new passion), outdoor concerts of almost any kind, classic rock, classical, acapella groups, etc.
My first grade teacher is still my pen pal which, I think, says a lot about how seriously I take relationships that are important to me.
I intend to travel more both locally, in the US and abroad in the next 3 - 5 years.
My Ideal Person
I am looking for someone who is a wilderness seeker as I am. I am not one to sit still for very long unless it is a contemplative setting in nature alone or with someone special. I tend to prefer men 6' or taller, though I know that is somewhat limiting. Its just a better fit for a woman who wears heels often. I wish to be involved with someone who takes their spirituality seriously, yet not so much though that they can't find anything else to talk about. I tend to get along better with energetic, thrill seeker types who will introduce me to new adventures. The man I seek MUST be honest, faithful, God fearing, compassionate and motivated. If he happens to still hold doors open and take me to events that require formal wear, that much better!
