62 year old Woman in Hanford, California, United States Looking For: Men

Profile for Starturtle
I am a widow as of about one year ago and at this time I would honestly just like to make some Christian male friends for mutual support and conversation. I'm really just getting my feet wet at this point and would welcome a kind word, some company now and then, and some reassurance that there are wonderful Christian men out there somewhere with a heart for God.

My Ideal Person
Is there anyone out there like me who would just like some opposite sex friends who love the Lord? God will work out the future...and if romantic love happens, it happens. But I am all about friendship and conversation and mutual support. I see single status as a beautiful opportunity to freely establish friendships with the opposite sex and to learn and grow. So many times we just fall into "examine and discard" mode on these sites while we search for "the one". I think we really miss out on a lot when we do this. Each person is valuable and beautiful in his or her way...and we each have something to offer the other. This could really be a beautiful time in our lives...if we let it and live it out that way. What do YOU think?

What are your favorite television shows?: Nothing comes to mind right now

What are your favorite musicians or bands?: OLD stuff... I used to be into unique sorts of rock like Styx, Queen, ELO, REO

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is everything to me. I believe in the total grace of God. This means that we are forgiven and loved unconditionally through Christ and His sacrifice. If we have accepted Him into our hearts, He will never leave us, never let us down. He will work all things for our ultimate good and bring us safely home. I pray to be used by Him to bring others to this Love.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
The book of Romans.

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
We need to be grounded in His love in order to have anything to offer each other. I want to be able to agree with my man in prayer, worship together and follow Him wherever He leads us.

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I was born in Southern California and lived there until I was 17. I went to college in Iowa and lived there for five years. After I got married we moved to Central California and I've lived here ever since. I've visited many of the States but have not traveled much beyond the US. Only a short stay in Canada and a few day trips to Mexico. I would love to visit England one day.

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
Writing, reading, making friends. I'm basically an "idea person".

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Up early to get my son ready for school. Most of my day is spent taking care of my son, the house, running errands, writing, reading and building and maintaining friendships.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
To allow the Lord to use me to speak to others...especially through my writing. To build a beautiful relationship and eventually a beautiful marriage that reflects and glorifies God's love. To give my son the best life possible.
