I was born and raised in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, but relocated to Oklahoma in 2004. Basically what drives me is my relationship with Christ: I speak to Him and He speaks to me through His Word, answered prayer, and circumstances of day to day living. In fact, my first book entitled Does Jesus Speak To You? which is all about how Jesus speaks to us, is out now and selling exceptionally well. I've actually been interviewed live on radio stations across the country about the book.
My Ideal Person:
I know that a lot of singles may not understand this, but I'm happy in my singleness and in my walk with the Lord, and I'm not looking for a Christian mate, boyfriend, marriage partner, etc.
What I am looking for are Christian friends who value their walks with the Lord as much as I do, who like to pray and study the Bible, and who would like to draw closer to Jesus Christ in a deep and meaningful way. I just met a woman on this site last night who encouraged me greatly, and I'm hoping to meet more people like her, both men and women alike. But please do not contact me if you're a man who is only talking to me "in hopes it will lead to...." Thank you for your understanding on that.
Having said that, I'm looking forward to hearing from many many members of Big Church!
Favorite films:
Julia
Favorite musicians or bands:
Cathedrals, Kingsmen Quartet and artists like them. I
also listen to a lot of hymn music.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith in Jesus Christ is extremely important to me; it's my reason for being. I constantly want to grow in my walk with the Lord, and I'm hoping to find more friends who have the same goal.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man." --- Ecclesiastes 12:13 Ecclesiastes is my favorite book of the Bible, and that verse sums everything up really well.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in the Northern Virginia area just outside of Washington, DC. I have been to about half of the 50 states, plus Russia, China, Hong Kong, and the High Arctic. Russia and China were both missions trips. I relocated to Oklahoma in 2004.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
Actually we're in the process of planting a non-denominational church here in town. We started out as a Thursday night Bible study and have now moved to Sunday services. I do the church bulletin every week. Outside of church I'm working on my MA in Biblical Studies, and just overall "chilling out."
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I work out of my home, so I don't get out very often except on weekends. If I have a job to do, I spend most of the time in my office, and when I'm not doing work, I'm usually working on my MA in Biblical Studies or just hanging out in front of the TV.
