My Ideal Person
I once had a list (quite a long time ago): Qualifications of Mr. Perfect. Well, I've already concluded awhile ago that there is no such thing as Mr. Perfect. Just like I will never be Miss Perfect. I now pray that I'll find a Mr. Perfect for Me. =) What character traits does Mr. Perfect for Me have? Well, someone who loves the Lord whole-heartedly and would put His will above his own (or mine). He needs to be actively involved in his church, or actively seeking a church that He can call home. Someone who has a servant's heart, and trusts God with all aspects of His life: finances, friendships, work, etc. He needs to be able to laugh at himself (those who can't, take life WAY too seriously!). Honesty and integrity are a must. Those are the big ones. Extra bonus points if he: likes the outdoors, knows how to read and practices every so often, enjoys children, doesn't balk at the idea of spending the day at the zoo, and is socially outgoing. If you ever want to chat, feel free.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is vital to my life. Who I am today is a direct result of my faith in Christ. There are days where I kick myself for not including God enough, but I rest in the fact that He knows that I live for Him and Him alone.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
2 Cor. 5:5, Philippians Chapter 2, "See to it that no one misses the grace of God" (Hebrews), and more.

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in Granite Falls. I moved to Bellingham for college, and currently live in Marysville. Although I've traveled to Canada, and some fun locations in the USA, my most exciting travels were last summer. I went on a missions trip to South Africa with 3 friends for a month. The people, the culture, the beaches...and the worship. Never have I ever heard such beautiful worship. How is it possible that a whole country is musically gifted?!?!

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love leading our high school youth group. Taking them to summer camp and witnessing the transformation that happens in their lives. Mentoring girls in their walks with the Lord, discussing real-life issues. All of this is great. I get my "baby-fix" once a month when I help out in the nursery. Those kids are so adorable! I don't teach Sunday School, simply because I don't want to burn out. I want to be completely refreshed so that I can give my students my all during the week. Also, on a more practical level, my church only has one service, and if you do too many ministries that take place during the service, you are never in church. =) One of my hopes is that we can begin an elderly ministry, where we bring teams of people to just spend time with the elderly in a nearby retirement home.

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Snooze,snooze, snooze, and snooze. =) THEN, I rush to get up, shower and be out of the house (no breakfast, no time) to head for work. I teach all day, working in my classroom until late evening. After that, I head to youth group, bible study, or home. I read a little, watch a little TV (if there's time), hang out with my roommates, and then spend some time with the Lord before getting ready for bed.
