Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I'm a born-again Christian, much to my surprise. This is a faith that never appealed to me. Part of getting sober in A.A. is inviting a "Higher Power" into one's life. God revealed that my path was to be the Christian walk. I know it was God choosing for me because I would have chosen something a little hipper. LOL.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 119
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Believe it or not I want to be equally yoked.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
What makes you think I grew up? Hayward CA, Santa Ana CA, Midway Island, Naples Italy, Washington D.C., Indianapolis, Iwakuni & Sasebo Japan are all places I lived before Eugene, OR.
I have travelled to all but a few of our beautiful United States. Germany, Greece, Turkey, Korea, Israel and The Phillipines are all places I've visited. Two years ago I took two house-sitting gigs in Mexico. I love to travel! Disneyworld is a blast!
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love to sing and worship. Dancing is my favorite pastime. Live theatre - especially Broadway shows are a passion. The most recent show I've seen was "Wicked" in Portland. What a terrific story about misjuding people based on their appearance. I'm taking my 10 year old nephew to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat in December.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Up at 6 watching Christian TV as I get ready for work. Drink slim-fast as my breakfast while driving to the call-center where I work. Work up to eight hours each weekday. Wednesday nights I take dancing lessons. Evenings I go to A.A. meetings and try to dine with friends. Every other weekend I normally go to a movie with a girlfriend (she picks.) On the other weekend I drive to Woodburn to collect my nephew from his visit with his Dad (my brother.)
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I would like to share my life with a man who loves the Lord and me in that order. This guy will be the spiritual leader of our home and think I'm so smart/wise that he wants my input. He can't keep his hands off me either. Wink - Wink - nudge nudge :)
