I am a lover of camping, fishing, sitting in the woods just smelling the pine trees and listening to the breeze floating through the trees.
My friends think I am too caring at times and put others before me. I feel that is what the Lord would want me to do. I get "attached" (my feelings) to people sometimes too quickly but am learning to take a step or two back now.
My favorite date would be a drive up in the woods or to a lake and just absorb all of God's wonderful artwork. I love trees, rivers, lakes, lots of green, and don't care much for the desert, even though I am currently living in it. I think it's a nice place to live but ....... I plan to move to Oregon or somewhere comparable after I retire, hopefully in 5 years or so, or even before that.
I am currently raising my Down Syndrome grandson in the Christian faith. He loves to pray with me and we attend church almost every Sunday. He is a lot of fun, and loves other people. I call him "my little hugger". He is 13 years old and loves Special Olympics (basketball, swimming, and bowling). He won the gold medal last year at the State Special Olympics in Phoenix. He really shines during competition!
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for someone who would like to be friends first and then see where the Lord takes the relationship. I would like a long-term serious relationship eventually but do not want to rush things.
My ideal man would be someone who loves children, family get-togethers, time alone with each other (or space if need be), likes to go camping, fishing, and someone who is romantic and not afraid to show affection. I need someone who could be a role model for my grandson and not be afraid of his special needs (Down Syndrome). My greatest desire, first and foremost, is to be a practicing CHRISTian!

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is the most important aspect of my life. I do not know how people do without the Lord. I talk to Him like He is right beside me. I cry to Him, I tell Him I love Him, I pray every chance I can. I can hardly wait to be in His presence in Heaven!

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
I have been unequally yoked in the past and I will never do that again. I believe in the old adage that "a family that prays together stays together"! I want someone to go to church with to praise the Lord, read the Bible together, enjoy being around Christian friends.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I have lived in 4 states, travelled many. I love Oregon the best!
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love our church services, great pastor. I like our church pot blessings (pot lucks) to socialize with other Christians. I love to go camping and fishing.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I have rough mornings, getting my grandson up and ready for school, getting myself ready for work. I am at work 9 hours, pick my grandson up from after-school program, pick up mail, sometimes go to store, go home, cook dinner, do dishes, read my mail, pay bills, get grandson motivated to go to bed (bath, etc), go to bed about 9:30pm, and TRY TO SLEEP! Up at 6:00am and start all over again!
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I hope to save enough money to retire in 5 years, move to a better place, find someone to share the rest of my life with.
