O.K., you will really know what I'm like after this long intro.... I am a "mature" Christian...debatable term - of course :), perhaps best illustrated by the fact that I have done the FULL church thing, beaten myself over the head with my Bible, lived to tell about it, and have since been living at peace with myself, yet evolving, for many years. I am very happy with who I am, but always aim to attain and maintain high standards, and grow into new horizons. I believe that anything worth having or becoming takes work...God is not going to hand you anything. Rather,He opens doors: It's what you do with them that determines your destiny. I have never been a victim, and don't care for that attitude in another. I am empathetic and compassionate, but not an enabler. I believe in "tough love" and setting boundaries:being a Christian DOES NOT mean being a doormat!! I don't get heavy, obssessed or driven with my beliefs. My Christianity has long been integrated into my perality, which - by the way, -is phlegmatic / sanguine ( ever heard of the Florence Littauer perality series?) Opposite ( especially extreme) Peralities DO NOTattract me: I am not attracted to high-strung, high energy, loud or brash peralities. I've had lots of psychology ( can you guess? But I really don't throw it around....), and always practice "healthy" and respectful communication. And - I will catch you if you are manipulating or playing games! :) I am a business Professional. I am logical before I am emotional ( well, my agers don't think so :) ) An easy, light-hearted sense of humor is very important, but I don't care for potty jokes, pranks, bufoonery ( ?:),or slapstick. I am musical, artistic, and athletic. Hike, cycle, camp,water, snow and C.C. ski...and open to new adventures. Would love to learn how to ballroom dance. Love dressing up, theatre. Don't have much time for T.V., but will watch news, documentaries, educational, American Idol, and House. Rarely read fiction.
