Profile for marylou422
Although I had been active as a leader in the political and community in my earlier years, in fact establishing a number of them.I have toned down the frenetic activity now. I had practiced law, taught full time high school while teaching parttime college and directing drama at nights. Now I teach and counsel ren in all subjects who have had trouble with regular school. I am also working on a librarian's degree (for my older years); although I have checked into the medical and legal librarian's track, I will probably stick to school librarianship. I like influencing young people. I have traveled to 19 foreign countries, where I studied the writers and artists that I taught about. I studied art in Egypt, Israel, Italy and the Netherlands. I also have attended international law conferences in Australia. Now, I do alot of traveling in the US. I have mapquested myself alone down as far as Savannah on a Civil War tour, and next year I hope to head west to the Grand Canyon. I like walking my dogs, hiking, kayaking, volunteering for drama groups, reading. I hope to edit a couple of books I have edited. I also like working around my house.

I am looking for an honest, monogamous man who believes in God, and knows that only a relationship where God is central, can really work.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I am from a small Italian town where the whole town revolved around the church. I attended Catholic grammar school, a Catholic college in Westchester, taught at a Catholic school, counseled at a Catholic agency...sang in the choir, taught religious education...alot of my friends are nuns or priests...it has been very important to me.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
The verse about "two being strong than one"...or "I am the way, the truth, and the light"

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
I believe one has to believe in the sanctity of marriage for another to trust you; one also has to believe in the sanctity of the intimacy of marriage. There are just too many distractions out there today, and too many things splitting people apart.

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in a small town in Northwest CT; same town as Ralph Nader. I have been to 19 countries, mostly Europe, but Egypt and Israel too. I have mapquested myself as far south as Savannah on a Civil War tour. I love Kennebunkport, Maine, Vermont, Washington, NYC, Virginia, and even Disney Land. Favorite place...beaches at Lands End in England...the home of the Brontes in the Northwest of England.

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love to sing at church. I used to love to create prayer services to inspire others at my school.

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
For the past couple of years I have worked in the Special Education Department of one school in the afternoons, and in the afternoons I teach and counsel kids kicked out of school for drugs and weapons or for having suicidal tendencies. My morning is spent breakfasting and with my dogs; I try to walk them when I can. Evenings, sometimes I am with clients, or I work on a course.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I am publishing my books about my generation. Spiritually, I have accomplished almost all I've wanted to.
