I have had a full life, but am not done yet. I have been looking for new connections to fill my time and heart. I am looking for good friends with same understanding of the Lord and His plan. My friends say I'm quiet and sincere. I have MUCH compassion and have the gift of encourager. I have 6 grown with families who all live in Iowa which makes me very happy. I am a recent widow. I was married over 42 years to a fisherman who came to know the Lord in his last ten years, so I am happy he is with the Lord now and not suffering here. He was disabled from back injuries and not able to do the things he loved. I am a music lover and have played the piano and sang most of my life and wouldn't know what to do if I couldn't sing along when I hear a good song. I didn't have much formal training but the Lord taught me how to play and I have used that talent in church off and on for most of my adult life. I like the outdoors,flowers,animals if friendly,walks,good movies,family and friends,some writing, and some tv. I love to look at water, but am not a swimmer. Only waist high is my rule. I was raised on a farm, and I do like the quiet country life, but have lived in a small town all of my adult life. I will probably be moving to the Cedar Rapids Iowa area soon for convenience. I like guys who care about their appearance, who care about other people and their feelings. I like guys who are responsible for their actions. I like a guy who loves the Lord and isn't ashamed to tell it. I lived with an alcoholic, so I cannot imagine getting into another relationship that would in any way involve that problem. I love to hear about people, but have a hard time conversing with a one sided egotist. I am usually a very good listener and am eager to hear from anyone who is willing to take the chance to pass my requisites.

My Ideal Person
I really would find a good friend who likes to communicate often. I'm not ready for any fast serious relationships yet, but only the Lord knows what is in His plan. I am looking for an honest,caring down to earth kind of guy who cares as much for his friends as himself. If you're a pessimist, please don't bother, I prefer optimist type for a healthier relationship and outlook. I don't care for lazy unclean people. Long beards and tattoos turn me off.
Good people person who loves family and animals and music. No racecar drivers,or truck drivers,or bar tenders. I am a little,but I have only myself to take care of, and the Lord wants only the best for me.
