Hmmm...who am I? I am a of God. My faith has been tested and found unwavering. I know that.
My friends describe me as smart, fun and happy. My family describes me as smart, too clean, and too organized. I'm all of those things. I like order and having a plan. I don't like confusion or following the crowd. I have opinions and I like to hear yours. I love discussing things on a intellectual level as well as an emotional level. What can I say? I'm a girl through and through and I act like a girl. Meaning, I'll probably confuse and confound you, but if you think about it, I'll always make sense.
I like to camp and fish, go to the movies, and I've even been known to watch Dr. Who. I'd rather read or garden than watch TV. I'm not big into exercising for the fun of it, but I love to walk, hike and snorkel.
I'm not a good cook and in fact, I hate to cook. I have a drawer full of take-out menu's to prove it. Who says all girls have to love to cook? I do like to eat though, and I appreciate good food. I don't eat green things, I'm over 50 and I don't have to anymore :)
I'm way too blunt. I call things as I see them, and although I try to be nice and graceful, I struggle with it.
I love to entertain friends and family. I love a good party with lots of food and games!
I am way too loyal for my own good. As evidenced by the length of my marriage and the fact that I have only really worked at one place my whole career. I am retired from there after working for 25 years.
I own my own house, have my own money and can take care of myself. This doesn't mean I don't like the feeling of being safe and cared for. (Doesn't everyone?)
I consider myself lucky as I have traveled to all the places on my bucket list. Out of everyplace in the world, Maui is my favorite. Even over Paris. I feel as close to God there as I can get in this world.
I love to do DIY projects and have my own wet-saw for tiling (I tiled my church's bathroom), and my own woodworking tools. I was married for 28 years. I have two grown daughters, one who still lives with me and probably will for years as she is not finishing college as fast as I planned!
My Ideal Person
I'm not necessarily looking for marriage again, but I wouldn't rule out the right guy.
The right guy would have a great faith, a job or ministry, and would be truthful and intelligent. (It would help greatly if he knew how to put his dirty clothes into the laundry bin by himself.)
