Most of my friends would say I have a easy-going personality. On the bad side this gets me into trouble as people tend to take advantage of my easy-going nature. I try and do the right thing and sometimes I end up on the wrong end of the stick because of it. I am recently divorced and trying to raise my two grandchildren at the same time. At the present time I am associated with the military overseas but due to come back to Florida in the latter part of October. My philosophy on life is to just take one day at a time. The past is behind me and the future I don't concern myself with so I live for today. I haven't been on a date in forever so I am not sure what I would enjoy anymore. I enjoy a good meal, I use to dance very well and I enjoy getting to know people. In my spare time, what spare time, haha I have two little ones that take up my spare time. I do enjoy collecting things like coins, stamps and cards. I enjoy playing the guitar and the children enjoy the karoke machine that I purchased. The children just enjoy spending time together no matter where we go or what we do whether it is a day at the beach or a walk around the neighborhood. I enjoy singing with the church and I enjoyed when I was the children's pastor back when I was last in Florida. I should be relocating down in the Ft. Myers area and hopefully I will find some nice people, a nice church home, a new job and just start life over again one more time. When I'm at home, I enjoy listening to a lot of different types of music but my favorites are Carmen and Elvis but I play different musics for different moods that I am experiencing. I haven't watched a lot of television over the last 6 years or so as the programming in the UK isn't suitable for the grandchildren so I buy them a lot of Blue's Clues, Barney, Dora the Explorer, haha, I am getting pretty good with those shows. I enjoy comedy movies myself but watch a lot of different types of movies as time allows and normally after the children are asleep. Most of the television shows that I like were back in the 60's, haha. The children have always been the most important things in my life whether they were my own or my grandchilren. It has cost me a few promotions over the years but I wouldn't trade the moments and memories of the times that I have spent with them for all the money in the world. I have done a lot of traveling over the last 6 years to places around Europe that I have only read about in history books up til now but now it is time to come back home.
My Ideal Person:
I haven't had to much luck with women over the years. I always thought when I was growing up that I would marry one time and then live happily ever after but unfortunately that was just a fantasy. I am moving to a new area where other then my friend, his wife, and their son I don't know anyone so I am looking for someone to spend some adult time with, without always interfering in my friends lives all the time and to talk to someone about something other then Barney, haha. I enjoy meeting, talking and listening to people. My friend promises me he will whip me back into shape, haha, they are fitness freaks so hopefully I will pick up some of their good eating and working out habits. So if you love spending time with children and a middle age man and are in the same boat that I am in then shoot me a line.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
At this stage of my life I am a show me christian and by that I mean that if you preach something that I don't understand or agree with then I need you to show me in the Word of God where it states what you are saying. I have been to just about every type of service or denomination there is so nothing surprises me anymore.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whosoever believes will not perish but have ever lasting life.
Greater is He that is in me then he who lives in this world.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Because that is what God wants for us and that is what is in the Bible. Christians should not be unequally yoked.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I was born in Portsmouth, VA, raised in Roanoke Rapids, NC and Chesapeake, VA. I joined the Coast Guard and traveled from coast to coast during my tour of duty. I settled in Florida and have lived all around in that state. Then I moved to England for a little over 6 years and worked and traveled all over Europe for a while before coming back to Florida.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I enjoyed being the childrens pastor at my last church. I enjoy singing with the church and I enjoy being around my children.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Daily routine at this time is getting up and ready for work in the morning. Then I get my children up and ready for daycare. I drop them off and I go to work across the street. I go over and have lunch with the children and then pick them up after work and come home. I pick up the house a little bit before I start my evening job as a family child care provider and then I do that until the last parent picks up their child and then I pick up the house again before I get comfortable for the evening and go to bed. On the weekends I am usually booked pretty solid with children all weekend so I really don't have to much time to myself over here, haha.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
Personal goals is to be the best person I can be as I try to be more pleasing to the Father above.
