This is only a slice. He made me creative, active, and friendly. I'm putting all that together into several projects. I like to bring my friends together. I'm smiling a lot lately, and to be upfront: I lied about my age, but the pictures are within 3 years.

I love the Southern Oregon region,especially the farmlands and the mountain streams, and... and the Nayarit, Mexico area of fertile farmland between the city and the wilderness also captivates me with its beauties: its people, its iguanas and orioles. Its warm thunderous summer skies and its plateau foothills climb to Guadalajara and spill into the ocean at San Blas or Puerto Vallarta.
I'm a high school teacher and have begun writing a class that will earn credit for secondary students who want more than a week or two for immersion or missions.
If you were to be around me this week, this is what you'd see: me building the visions, playing with my grown kids, chopping firewood, painting a picture I have in mind, making some home improvements, and totally enjoying and being refreshed by the fellowship of the saints. I'm a pretty good friend. If this adventure sounds like fun I'd like to hear from you.

My Ideal Person:
Precious brothers and sisters, it's ridiculous and disrespectful to think you should fit into some "box" of my construction. Better to see your wings or give you some uplifting wind. God delights in our uniqueness. I want to see you as He does and be seen that way, too. There is marvelous freedom and creativity in Him. It's His very image we share; why try to contain Him, or each other, in the smallness of our minds? Rather believe Him, all He says about Himself, AND about US. We act like what we truly believe in our hearts (which is not always what we SAY we believe). Lately I keep asking God to reveal Himself to me so I can believe the Truth more fully and live it. I believe the body of Christ is one way He chooses to reveal Himself (we are a miracle, folks), so I'm alert to them. Somewhere among them is the one who finds his adventure right next to mine: Surprise! He's real and he likes me a LOT and thinks I'm fun. Our deeps call to each other.
My best friends are fun, honest, open and friendly, communicators, kind, initiators, faith filled, fearless, fruitful, prophetic, creative, adventurous, healthy, free. They like dancing and a life of worship. They enjoy nature and quiet and also a party. They're energetic, affectionate, generous, encouraging. They know they're friends and children and beloved of God. They love the body of Christ. Practical, yet enjoying flights of fancy; forgiven/forgiving; work and play hard; not afraid to confront or to change.
Each one is a different treasure to be found. Each is Holy Ground.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
It's not my faith, it's my God who is real.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Someone who doesn't want to know your best freind, or won't meet Him in the way you do, probably won't be able to meet you very well, either. Having an unbelieving mate is very lonely.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I "grew up" so long ago....still growing. Live at the edge of a small town now, half an acre planted with more fruit than I can eat. 13 years on a wilderness homestead "formed" me more than my early years, I think. I like to get somewhere more than travel, and when I'm there, to connect with the locals and build friendships (in Spanish and in French...would love to learn Portuguese, and maybe some Chinese). I love fertile valleys and vistas from mountainsides.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
Being with people. Being expressive in worship with all that I am, both in the "building" and out. I'm the same on the inside as on the outside.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I get up and ask God what He's up to and try to go with His flow. It's usually work of some sort, with a lot of people going thru. Lately I've enjoyed a new thing...just sitting very still and thinking for awhile.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I want to hear His voice more clearly. I want to be active doing things that count...not necessarily big things, but I do have some big dreams.
