The two most important things in my life are my faith and my family. I have attended the same wonderful church for ten years, and God has changed my life! I have two children who are both married. My son is in the Navy and stationed in California. My daughter stays at home with my only grandchild, who is one of the loves of my life. I'm a teacher and very much hope to have her in class someday. I have a stong work ethic, but I also enjoy having fun. I love almost anything that I can do outside and am not afraid of an adventure. I have even white water rafted and am planning to learn to scuba dive. I like to travel especially if there's a beach or a motorcycle involved. I rarely watch television, but I do enjoy reading a good book. My favorite time of the year is Christmas. I love everything about it. I love what we're celebrating, the time with family, the traditions, the decorations, the giving. This year I will have a real mantel to hang stockings from. I'm excited! My life is very good, but we were not created to be alone. I believe at the right time, God will bring the right man into my life. Life will be even better for both of us.
My Ideal Person:
My ideal person is someone that I not only find attractive but someone who trusts God, is trustworthy himself, has a strong work ethic and manages his finances well, makes me laugh, is active and healthy, is intelligent and a good listener, is commited and enjoys family. I am also old fashioned. I would like him to pursue me, not the other way around.
Favorite films:
Man From Snowy River, Fireproof
Favorite musicians or bands:
Kenny G, Steven Curtis Chapman

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
There is no LIFE without Christ. All I have is his. I want Him to guide my choices, to change me, and use me. The longer that I'm a Christian, the more I trust Him to work in my life for my good.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Isaiah 40:31 ...but those who wait on the Lord
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Any other kind of relationship is doomed to fail.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. I have traveled from coast to coast. I have also traveled outside of the US a time or two and lived in Japan. My favorite places to visit have a beach or some other natural beauty.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
My favorite thing about church is the worship and the biblical teaching. My pastor believes we should be able to use what we learn on Sunday morning in real life. Outside of church, I enjoy cooking for family and friends, reading a good book, spending time with my granddaughter, and almost anything that I can do outside.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I get up before 6 and am at school by 8. I teach k, 1, and 2. At 10, I have two interns whom I could not do without. While my elementary students go to lunch and PE, I work with the yearbook staff. After lunch, k goes home. In the afternoon, we finish our lessons and are dismissed at the usual 3:30. I rarely leave school at that time. What I do in the evenings and on the weekends varies. I try to stay busy and involved with my church and my family. The pace of my life would change if I were not single.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I want to spend more time alone with God. Everything worth having starts there. I want to give more, save more, and invest more. I want to die happily married. I want to be my granddaughter's best friend. I want to hike the Ozark Highlands Trail. I want to learn to scuba dive and snow ski. I want to travel.
